The original release of “What’s your gender” was our entry and the winner to the “Binary and Beyond” themed BPB game jam. Since then a couple of updates have added content, english language support and rounded out the game. Additionally the Steam release has a couple of achievements to hunt.
It is an Antichamber inspired educational puzzle game, that allows you to simultaneously explore a non-euclidean maze and concepts and terms related to gender, identity and expression in a playful and reassuring manner. The game is currently available fully voiced in English and German.
NOTE: This is a short game.
Controls
- WASD or Arrow keys + Mouse to move
- Space to jump (optional)
- E/LMB to interact

it was a nice, short little game
you got short phrases from your character whenever you got near a point of interest, and if you wanted to you could get more in-depth explanations by looking further into the concepts presented
i liked it :3

would recommend this game to anyone who is new to the LGBTQ+ community or anyone looking to learn more about its terms and definitions. helps you learn at your own pace and understand what each means and it has good definitions of each word.

When I first saw this game, I impulse bought it. I liked antichamber and am queer so this game looked beautiful and interesting. Don't expect much out of it, it's a short experience, and is honestly really shallow. If you're looking for interaction, it's only interesting aspects are the pronoun lab and the euphoria room. It's mostly just wandering around listening to a few term definitions.
I still really enjoyed this game. The navigation was really interesting, and the map at the end helped me to find everything once I went through, and I loved getting lost in the place. It's a beautiful game, and extremely calming. I wish there was one last secret, namely the staircase in the queer room that should be accessible but I haven't ever found a way in, and that last secret would be the cherry on top that made exploration pay off. Otherwise, it gets kinda eerie after the first run through once there's nothing to do, but that can be an appeal in and of itself. The price is a bit steep for what it is in all honesty, but I can't say I regret it. Well done to the dev!

i don't seem to be able to get one of the trophies after being everywhere but apart from that, this game is amazing and extremely educational even to me as a trans person.

This game only takes about 20 min to finish.
There's not much in terms of puzzles or difficulty but that's not the point of this game. It's a comedy game. I think the comedy in this game is decent enough, I at least had quite a few laughs throughout and the voice acting is on point to deliver said comedy.
Aesthetically it looks identical to Antichamber so if you're into that artstyle and likes satire I think you should give this game a chance. After all, it only takes 20 min to fully explore and finish.

Mixed feelings about this one. It's an interesting environment to explore, and it makes my friend motion sick, which is fun. The terms relating to gender are little more than definitions, and although it's kinda fun to find all of them and can be informative, I wouldn't say it's all that in-depth or emotional. I do think the pronoun corner in genuinely kind of useful or interesting. Learned I was a fan of E. Ultimately, I think it's worth a short playthrough, but keep your expectations measured.
