Hunt the Muglump
Hunt the Muglump is a retro-inspired dungeon crawling adventure where you must brave the dangers of a dark dungeon in order to slay the Muglump by shooting it with an arrow. The Muglump is a horrific, greedy beast that can and will consume anything and anyone it can get its hands on. Along the way watch out for bottomless pit traps and giant bats that can carry you to other parts of the dungeon that may lead to certain doom. To play the game, players must explore the dungeon. When they enter a room, they will receive on screen messages indicating if danger is close. Using these clues, they must determine if one of the nearby rooms contains a muglump and fire an arrow into it, slaying the beast. After slaying all muglumps in the dungeon, players should return to the entrance to successfully complete the game.

This is a really fun game. My eight year old son really enjoys playing it and begs to get on the computer so he can play it. It has been a great distraction for him during lock down. He especially enjoys tweaking the game settings in custom mode.

Hunt the Muglump is a very charming game. I have playtested this game, so please ignore the hour gameplay here on steam, my review comes from much time hunting these dangerous beasts!
The design is so old school and I love it. If you enjoyed old PC games from back in the late 80s and early 90s this is going to be right up your ally. The game is very easy to learn and challenging to master! Each time you play it generates a new dungeon to hunt in so the game is never stale and you can't simply memorize things either!
I have one bit of advice though! When the fluttering wings take you away, have a piece of graph paper handy, and try to track the rooms they take you through! It's really fun to try and get right!

I like this game. It's an ever-changing puzzle adventure that randomizes every time. I'm still working towards the dungeon creator by earning the right achievements, but I enjoy the gameplay. Well-worth the low cost of 5.99.

It's a fun retro style game that harkens back to the early NES days. You must rely on your memory, wit, and patience to survive. All three ingredients make for a really awesome indy game.
Every time you play, the map and circumstances change so it's a game that will never get redundant.

This is a nice little dungeon crawler - straightforward controls & game play, basic toonish graphics and a good soundtrack. I haven't gone to the highest difficulty yet, the lower levels give you a great feel for the play, with larger maps & more MugLumps as you progress. If you enjoy retro-style crawlers (think Temple of Apshai, or a VERY stripped down version of NetHack), I highly recommend. This is well worth the cost - I'll be firing this up regularly.
