Anno 2205

Playing Anno 2205 feels like I was running a megacorporation instead of a single city. The “multiple regions” system is brilliant: temperate zones, arctic production chains, and then the moon. Building an integrated corporate empire where every region has a role. Each zone has its own look, challenges and music, so jumping between them feels like juggling different subsidiaries of one giant company.
I also really enjoyed the stock market: buying shares, defending your position and seeing your corporation grow on that layer fits the fantasy of being a CEO of your own futuristic megacorp.
The one weak spot is combat. It’s not terrible, but it’s clearly the least interesting part of the package: shallow, repetitive, and it feels a bit disconnected. Also, a sandbox split from the main campaign would have been a good feature.
But if what you want is a polished, atmospheric sandbox about building a futuristic megacorp across Earth and the Moon, Anno 2205 absolutely delivers.

I like this game way more than I expected! I originally skipped Anno 2205 back in the day because of it's differences to previous Anno titles (no on-map rivals, etc.), but it turns out I really enjoy this game! The Maps are beautiful to look at - even today. There's a wide variety of different biomes: Temperate, Arctic and Moon (even Thundra, if you have the expansion) with great atmosphere in each of them and unique buildings and production chains. It's fun and can also be quite challenging, especially on the higher difficulty settings. The only thing I really don't like about this game is the story. In my eye it's really bad and misses out lots of opportunities to make the setting in 2205 feel more engaging, especially in regard to our rival companies. But I can easiliy forgive this downside when comparing it against the many hours of fun I had with this game.
I can relly recommend this game, especially when it's on sale!

Anno 2205 is a bit different from the traditional Anno formula, but I genuinely enjoy it.
It is more streamlined and perhaps a little less complex in some areas, but the huge cities, modern futuristic setting, multiple regions, Arctic development, and eventually building on the Moon make it really fun to play.
I own all the DLCs, and with all the additional content there is plenty to do. I especially like the feeling of starting with a relatively small operation and eventually managing massive production networks across completely different environments.
Visually, the game still looks great, and watching a huge futuristic city operate after spending hours building and optimizing it is extremely satisfying.
It might not be the most traditional Anno game, but as a futuristic city builder it is excellent. I have had a lot of fun with it and would definitely recommend giving it a chance.

on a 1-10, for a city builder/colonizer game, I give this a 7.5. Worth the cost, but nothing really amazing. Good for killing time, and messing around. I enjoy it.

A very nice anno, simpler but much more streamlined than its predecessor, there is tons of stuff to do and its gonna take a lot of hours to finish everything, very enjoyable 7.5/10

I don't care what they say, I really like the setting of this game and thus it will always be a thumbs up for me.

Honestly quite like it. Its a very casual Anno with no real condition resulting in a loss. For some it might be lacking depth in gameplay which I understand. But if you dont really have the time to get into an Anno game like 1800 and still want a fun city builder, this works great. Buying up the stocks of your competition was especially fun for me since it gives you BlackRock powers.
I saw alot of negative reviews regarding ubisoft connect. As allways with ubisoft games its kind of luck based. I didnt have any issues in this game but you may have some :(.
