As other users have stated, this is not a game that is worth $30 per player. It's a fun romp with friends for a few hours, but you gotta grab the copies on sale. I could see it being worth $10, maybe up to $15. Also, use a controller if you have one! I usually use keyboard and mouse, but I found the controls a bit more immersive with controller this time.

Abandonware.
It's a fun game though, but the developers left it unfinished and unpolished so it should still be in early access. Clunky and unpolished combat hurt a really interesting idea for a souls-like / roguelite. I honestly love the way the game looks, but the slightly minimalistic design choice may not click with you if you dislike those kinds of games.
Worth it if you get a good discount, avoid it at full price.

Pro:
- It's a mind chilling game, where you just smash, dodge, parry, but if you die, you gotta start all over again. So it's has that balance. 10/10
- Multiplayer. It gets fun to play multiplayer with your buddies.
- Easy to learn
- Humor in every place possible, great art style, minimalist design
Cons:
- The current price at 30 dollars it's too much. If you get a discount, and end up paying like 5-7-10-15 dollars, then it's worth it
- Developers have abandoned the game and moved on. Last update was 8 years ago.
Your success or failure depends on planning, proper use of items, but most important - having the right weapon for the right enemy. Soon you'll find yourself on necropolis.fandom.com/wiki learning about each weapon, armor, codexes, potions...and so on.
Lack of descriptions of items/weapons in game - makes the game both interesting and a tad annoying.
Attack pattern of some enemies can be repetitive. But if you like that mind numbing clicking and dodging, then it shouldn't be a problem.
Yea, I enjoy the game a lot. Totally fun. But it needs a discount.

beware before buying that this game is finished and is no longer being updated. it was abandoned, so you are getting a product that may have bugs and what not that will not be resolved. however, this game can be found very cheap and often goes on sale for a good price. the combat is pretty fun, the bosses are decent and the exploration and art style is pretty solid. i only experienced minor bugs so i didnt have any issues with the game personally and im sure you can probably get more enjoyment out of this game with some buddies. the elements/mechanics in the game are decent and it ran pretty well. it's not a very long game though, as i almost hit 9 hours and scoured and found everything and killed everything i could. i will recommend this game on sale for souls/roguelike fans who want something cheap to have some laughs on and grind for a day or two. overall, it's decent and worth the sale prices and key prices it gets listed for.

Necropolis is a good game. The art style is amazing, and the lore is interesting yet odd. The game play on the other end is ok. Its slow and unresponsive sometimes. Advancing floors takes a lot of luck in what weapons you find and the layout of the map. Sometimes you get lucky..sometimes you don't. The only permanent unlocks are codex's which apply unique perks, and character colors. Only some of the codexes are useful and they take a while to get anyways. However, I am very satisfied with the amount of hidden things and areas there are to explore, and I always find something new every run. I gave this game a positive review because it was not terrible and a waste of time. I enjoyed playing it but I wouldn't say its worth full price. Get it on sale. Also co op is hard because of friendly fire, but it does make the game way easier. I recommend if you want a game to play for a few hours by yourself. The games combat feels decent once you get used to it and learning the enemies combos becomes easier after a while.
EDIT: I have been playing the game much more lately and I must say it was probably one on my favorite games I own. I highly recommend playing it. The lore is also really deep if you get into that kind of stuff. I Have noticed that the more you play the better you get. I think this is one of the best games ever made I just wish it was updated more.

I LOVE this game, but I'm deeply disappointed that they dropped continuation of content for it. I just truly don't understand it. The animation is refreshing and the gameplay is rich and challenging. It's sad to think what this game could have become with more attention.

Not a hundred hour game, but fun solo or with friends. An alright progression system of tomes and clothing colors to unlock. The fighting is simple and fair.
