Harry’s current assignment takes him to the infested futuristic research facility on planet Zoit. The surviving and dwindling number of scientists employed him for his slaughtering skills. Harry’s mission: survive until the decontamination of the building is complete, hoard coins like his life depended on it, and protect the scientists at all costs. Watch out for the spiders as they have a particular fondness for rubber encased scientists. After landing, you will move from room to room through the facility blasting rockets, lasers, and wielding the power of lighting upwards at anything not human. '

I ended up buying this game 3 different times; first on PS$, then on Android, and finally on Steam. I never played a game quite like it (I know it is supposed to be heavily inspired from Pang, but I only learned about that game very recently) it scratches that arcade-style itch that I get every so often. The introduction of new enemies every few levels keeps things interesting, as well as adding hazards in the room you fight them in. It controls great, plus I really dig the music and art style.

It was cute, it was kinda fun, but it's hard.
This game train your patience, speed and accuracy.
But it's doable, since you don't really have to be perfect.
You can take your chance, your time and beat the game.
But it's real hard.

The Bug Butcher is what happens when Space Invaders gets a PhD and decides violence is peer-reviewed. You stand there, shoot up, and commit enthusiastic science on every creepy-crawly in sight.
It’s simple, fast, and way more intense than a game where you technically never move. My mouse hand got a workout and my aim got… slightly less tragic.
Bright colors, chunky guns, and bugs that absolutely did not sign up for this.
10/10, would publish these results again.

My two kids love this game and I'm sure it will be an anchor memory when they are grown.
