If you're looking for a Dynasty Warriors fix in 2024, this is the one to buy when on sale.

It's not difficult. It's got questionable balance. But it's got more characters than you can ever think to play.

As a general recommendation, don't seek out the most powerful characters - find one you like and stick to it. Once the game is beaten you can find the OP ones and use them in infinity mode.

It may not be better than previous series in terms of story, but personally I really like fast-paced gameplay, with SW characters using Hyper Attacks as an alternative of riding horses. This was also one of koei games (on steam) where I spent long hours, grinding those towers, just to get one of the greek god's cool costume. The only thing that was lacking are the guest characters compared to previous series. Also with the existence of magic, you can basically cheese almost any enemy.

By far this is the best game I've ever played other than The Witcher 3. They nailed every aspect such as gameplay, voice acting (especially Athena) and other elements. For any of you who missed the 1st and 2nd Warriors Orochi and wants to have some nostalgia, buying this might be the best decision even for an unreasonable price (best to wait on discount).

great warriors game, the fast paced action is fun, alot of characters, so much at times its overwhelming trying to figure who u want ur key 3 to be. i find myself swapping almost constantly lol. my only complaint is the game isnt dubbed.

This game is one of the wildest warriors/musou style games I've played. There are greek gods and people being deified as you played. Giant cyclops, wraiths, griffins, weird demon things, etc. The game is fun, fairly straight forward. As you go on you unlock some great features like training, camp upgrades, weapon element purchases, etc. There are also a ridiculous number of characters. It's a fun game and I like it a lot. One of the best somewhat mainline warriors/mousou games. I still lean towards fire emblem warriors: three hopes, and Dynasty Warriors empires 5 being the best games in this format though but this game is the strongest candidate with an online mode.

I just finished the first part of the story. This game is a contender for best Musou game ever. 170 interesting characters with DW and SW mechanics and a bit of the spell loop from Fate Extella. Great weapon crafting mechanics. Good scenarios. I don't know if I found any flaw in this game from a Musou perspective.
Wow, I'm 60 hours in, maxed a few characters and I barely started sky father tower. Wow, this is a great musou.
