Aqua Moto Racing Utopia is surprisingly fun for those who like fast races on the water.
The controls feel smooth and the variation in circuits keeps it interesting. Graphically it may not be groundbreaking but it gives a nice old-school impression, this together with the water and the speed ensure a nice gaming experience.
The different locations offer nice variation, and the championships provide a nice sense of progress.
Ideal against friends or for those who fancy a short, relaxing racing session with just enough challenge and atmosphere.

It seemed like an okay pass on Waverace… until I went back and played Waverace. That laid bare how soulless and bland this game is. Janky physics don’t help. Get it if you’re itching for more water sport, it’s passable. Otherwise go back to OG. Barely a thumbs up, if you’re in the right mood.

If you've ever played Waverace Blue Storm, which is a worse version of Waverace because the physics aren't as good? Well, this is a worse version of that game. It's not so bad that I wouldn't recommend it. I forgot how much I paid but it definitely feels like an under $10 game.

Great summer vibes.
Lots of content:
Ten areas (Tropical, Stadiums, Greece, Harbor, Jungle, Swamp, Oil Rig, Asia, City)
Races and Stunt Events
Around 20 stunts to master
Local and online multiplayer (Races and Party Modes (KOTH,...))
Time Trials
Over 40 Jet-Skis
Game feels good to play, controls are tight and responsive, the waves look nice and are fun to drive and jump on.

Nice, simple racing game. Not really into motorboats, but it is fun!

At first glance this game looks like borderline-generic trash, but it's actually surprisingly fun. The controls and water/wave physics require nuance to deal with, and the races themselves are both hectic and exciting.
Level design is excellent IMO, and the 50 Courses across its Environments are all unique and challenging to navigate, and the Courses all feel very different from each other, requiring different tactics to get through them. The wave physics in particular are very good, and it's fun adapting to different water conditions.
For example, in calmer waters you can start sweeping into a turn super early to get through a hairpin turn quickly - but in stormy sea conditions, you'll have to be aware of what the waves are doing: If you go too quickly, a wave may hit you and send you flying past a buoy; or a wave may hit you early and give you the chance to rotate 90° while in the air, so that you can hit the water and immediately speed into the direction you need to go.
That kind of decision making, combined with dealing with challenging and aggressive NPCs (who generate their own wake behind them), makes for some pretty intense racing that won't leave you bored.
So ye, I dunno if this game is for everyone, but I think it's worth it for a couple dollars on sale if you're really craving a watercraft game, since the genre has been bone-dry for a long time.

Surprisingly fun. but it makes me a little sad for anyone who genuinely loves this goofy ass sport.
