Steven Universe: Unleash the Light

kinda sad they stopped selling the trilogy before i could buy it all on one platform, i hate having to play the different games on different consoles and my pc

Unlike the other Steven Universe games which use a pseudo-turn based system with timers for your and enemy actions, Unleash the Light is entirely turn based and you have all the time you need to plan your next move. Even more to the point lots more matters in combat such as your team formation, synergy between gems, and the extra powers costumes open up you can choose between. Additionally Rose's Room offers up a rouge-like mode that contains enough content to act as an entirely standalone game on it's own. If you like Steven Universe but didn't like the quick thinking pressure of the old games this one is perfect. If you like unusual but still very thoughtful turn based combat games this is an excellent example. If you like both it's gravy on a perfect pork-chop.

Fun game for steven universe fans - some fun ideas mixed with a little jankiness here and there
Get it while it's on sale if you can (though it only went on sale once in 3 years)
First thing's first - this game is a port of a game for iPad - make of that what you will (yes you can play entirely with a mouse)
Overworld gameplay feels similar to a retro dungeon crawler RPG if it were for a tablet and plays well if a little repetitive/lacking variety - the most you get to do in overworld is mainly break pots or solve a light beam bending puzzle.
Battles are a very Paper Mario style Quick-Time minigames style of combat that can be quite fun.
Characters all have their own unique little gimmicks of how they play, the balance is a little random between characters as a result.
Main story is a little short in my opinion but fun enough, doesn't add much to the SU world .
The game forces you to do 12 randomised worlds as thing to get the full 100% on the story after the conclusion to the main story.
The Rose's Room roguelike mode is fun but VERY harsh on early runs with each character, you will often have no possible chance of surviving some fights even with perfect blocking and will encounter stronger enemies than the main story within like 2 floors. Your characters slowly get bonuses after each failed run to make the combat easier, though i feel like it could've been handled differently so they don't feel like slaughter fests on a first try

I am so glad this game Steven Universe Unleash the Light is the best! I have finished the game and it's amazing! My favourite part of the game would probably be Peridot as a team member! I love her cut scenes with her emotion image of her being super cute! I love playing her since she is really helpful and her Robonoids are useful as well! She is so cute even her design in the game is beautiful! I love this game and I hope there is a new Steven Universe game in the future which they said the company really wants to make a new Steven Universe game as well! Even just like this one with the designs, Ost, and the creativity in this game for future Steven Universe games which will be excellent to have! This game is amazing and It will always be the best and I will always love Peridot in this game!

its an amazing scroll rpg type game very amazing and all you need is a mouse and this game is very cheap and affordable for everyone very simple and relaxing to play

Being able to have a party consisting of Peridot, Lapis and Bismuth was reason enought for me to play it!

I all honesty the story line is fine, nothing too great but if you love steven universe then you'll like it. It has you explore different planets and each planet has different levels (you go across the planets and levels by warp pad). The fighting is similar to the old game. Same thing with its general mechanics and character designs. There's an alternative mode you can play rather than story mode, its called Roses room. Basically each character starts off from zero and you have to explore and kill monsters to slowly level up the characters. For your very first run it'll prop be impossible to beat, but each time you fail the character gets stronger.
