Transport Fever
Transport Fever is a railroad-focused tycoon game. Players start in 1850 and build up a thriving transport company. As an emerging transport tycoon, the player constructs stations, airports, harbors and makes money by connecting areas requiring transport services.
Construct complex road-rail-water-air networks in the endless game and experience more than 150 year of transportation history. Fulfill the people’s needs and watch cities evolve dynamically. Supply industries with freight, develop complete cargo chains and enable economic growth. Build up a transport empire!
Master challenges and get entertained in the campaign game mode. Two campaigns consisting of a multitude of missions with increasing difficulty can be tackled. Missions of the American and the European campaign tell the historical context of the 19th and 20th century and offer a wide range of realworld transportation challenges.

Transport Fever 2 is better in every way. But I can't give this game a thumbs-down. Choo Choo

Still holds up well in 2026.
There are some minor annoyances, such as a single misplaced signal making you check an entire line segment by segment instead of telling you where your line is broken, or the inability to upgrade an entire line to electric with a single click, but these are very minor things.
Overall this is a well thought out game that will provide days of entertainment.

Maybe the most addicting transport game I've played -- which says a lot considering I've been getting addicted to these games since Railroad Tycoon back on DOS. It does require a bit of figuring out -- but there's plenty of help available in various places online. It doesn't have the graphics that the newer games have, but it's not low-quality either. And it will run on a graphics card that doesn't require water cooling.

Very fun game, but I am kinda disappointed in the number of campaign missions. It's also very tricky to get used to from the start.

good game overall, despite some cluckyness on how the building system works and the ui.
to play effectively you need to understand how the (very flawed) resources allocation system works. unfortunately this process is trail and error since the game has no way to visualize were passenger or cargo needs to go and this can be frustrating

Very new to train games, I struggled a fair bit at first but once I got the hang of how the rails and everything are supposed to connect, it became really very fun. I love trying to design the best railway system possible, and I also love just chilling and riding the train in first person mode

This is a great and easy to understand transport tycoon like game. The systems are really great in their depth of information, customisation and ease to duplicate your routes and vehicles. The graphics and sound will make you feel right there behind the wheel. There are campaigns to follow or you can custom map any size or year with some modifiers and mod friendly support to have the ultimate experience you desire. This is a must play for any transport tycoon enthusiast.
