9 years later and they're still giving out free updates with new levels. If this silly little game isn't a labor of love, I don't know what is. It's good fun and goes on sale often. Buy it for some goofy, puzzle solving good times with your friends.

“The game that teaches the philosophy of falling”
Human: Fall Flat isn't really a game; it's a physics-based fall simulation that sums up life. At first you think “what's the big deal, you just open a door with two arms”, but then you realize that the real challenge isn't opening the door, it's getting to it without crawling in funny ways.
When you play with friends, things get completely out of hand. One tries to build a bridge, the other sets fire to the bridge (there's no fire in the game, but it's so chaotic that you feel like there is fire). While I was seriously trying to solve the puzzle, my friend grabbed me by the collar and threw me off a cliff. And strangely, I can't remember a moment I had more fun than that.
The physics are so ridiculous that sometimes, instead of trying out solutions, you just fall down and laugh. But oddly enough, you find incredibly creative solutions within the absurdity of the game. Throwing your friend instead of a rope, making yourself a bridge instead of a bridge... It makes you question the limits of humanity.
It can be played alone, but the real fun is in multiplayer. If you have friends, you will have a laughing fit with them

I cannot imagine playing this game through solo. However if you have a friend and love some absolute chaos then this game is excellent. It can be a bit frustrating to 100% but not too bad.

Human: Fall Flat – In 2025
Honestly, I wouldn't have played this alone. I did the first few maps with two friends, then restarted and finished the whole thing in co-op with my girlfriend. It was goofy, fun, and sometimes a bit frustrating.
World & Atmosphere – Dreamy but Flat
Everything from the floating level design to the “Select Dream” level menu gives this game a dreamlike vibe. The visual style is charming in a minimalistic way — bright, soft worlds that feel like lucid dreams. But some levels are creative and well-designed, while others feel clunky or rushed. The tone feels lighthearted but uneven.
Gameplay – Wiggle, Climb, Fail, Laugh
Physics-based movement is the whole deal here. It’s fun, unpredictable, and often chaotic — which works better in co-op. Alone, it can get tedious. Some puzzles are clever, others are more trial-and-error with awkward jumps. And yes, you will fall. A lot.
Music – Sad Piano for Happy Accidents
The soundtrack is mostly soft piano — nice in theory, but often feels disconnected from the game’s playful chaos. A funkier or upbeat style would’ve made more sense. It’s chill, but too chill for the tone.
Story – Just vibes
There’s no real story, and that’s fine. The dreamworld concept is more of a loose frame for the puzzles. You’re not here for narrative; you’re here to fumble your way through floating platforms and laugh at ragdoll physics.
Achievements – Precision in a Clumsy World
100% completion takes effort. Most achievements are missable and require specific actions that break the flow — especially if you don’t check guides. A few are tricky, even annoying, but most are doable with patience and a second player. Some clever ones, though!
Conclusion – A good time with the right people
Playing this alone? Probably wouldn’t have stuck with it. But in co-op, it’s a different beast — silly, unpredictable, and fun to fail together. The simplicity can be underwhelming, but knowing it was all made by one developer (Tomas Sakalauskas) in 2016 makes it more impressive. Not a must-play, but worth a spin.
🏁 Completion Verdict: 🎮 One and Done
I’m glad I finished it, especially in co-op.
Fun memories, but I won’t be going back to dreamland anytime soon.

A Physics Experiment Gone Horribly (and Hilariously) Wrong
Human: Fall Flat is the only game where I’ve spent 30 minutes trying to climb a wall that’s two feet tall. My character moves like a drunk marshmallow with commitment issues.
Every puzzle turns into a group therapy session where everyone’s screaming, “Grab my arm!” while simultaneously falling off the map. I didn’t solve puzzles, I just created new forms of chaos.
The controls feel like wrestling with gravity itself, and somehow, that’s the best part.
Would I recommend it? Yes, but only if your friendships are strong enough to survive screaming ‘LET GO OF ME!’ 20 times.”

Fun game especially with a friend the puzzles are cool and overall fun, but the music in this game is trash, for me the game looked like it's energetic and joyful, but the music makes me feel all depresseed taking the joy out
Achievement - wise it's pretty easy, sometimes tedious. Note that the achievements are very buggy if you are playing with someone , let the host do the achievements, since from what we played everytime my friend would do something and an achievement was supposed to pop-up it wouldn't, but when I did it it would.
