A fun continuation of Stasis, with plenty of body horror and puzzles. I did not feel as stuck with Cayne as I had at times with Stasis, though I still needed hints every now and again. I hope there are more games to continue this story.

This is a free prequel game to Stasis, but it's honestly not all that good. The writing is corny, the protagonist is way too relaxed and jokes around for a horror game to let the mood sink in and the puzzles are somewhat unintuitive. Worst offender is how much you have to walk around without being able to skip the walking to leave the screen and with additional obstacles put in between that make it take even longer. Design like that discourages you from trying things, so you lose patience and end up looking solutions up because you just want to know where to go next without running all over the place first again.
Overall, it's alright to play it if you also have or want to play Stasis, but it's not interesting enough to stand on its own.

It is short, but fun game. It has reasonable puzzles, decent graphic. Audio is average. Controls are not very intuitive, but you can live with that, Story is above average. Movements are not realistic - I do not expect 8-9 months pregnant women climb between floors, but let it be. It has some bugs (sometimes overlay disappear, sometimes everything stuck). But all-in-all it is fun and enjoyable game. I recommend to give it a try.

What began as a routine safe, legal and rare women's healthcare and personal empowerment ritual... goes even more wrong!
Macabre point-and-click horror continues on from STASIS with CAYNE. It's amazing that this was released for free, because it's a decent quality game. I think it improves over STASIS in some areas.
In other areas, it's a downgrade. The protagonist didn't make any sense to me. This is a horrific situation that would test any man or woman's mettle, but instead she's cracking wise and sounds like a modern cringe millennial woman who lives in a safe urban center. This constant sarcasm and irreverence drains any tension and kills the atmosphere. What were they thinking with this!? More "millennial writing," I say!
I loved the ending. It's one of those endings that makes you go, "oh, shizzmafrizz." Hopefully Bone Totem has something to say about all of this, but it seems to be a totally different place in the STASIS universe. I've got the game already and am interested to find out.

It was an alright concept, but it was very much holding your hand throughout the game... no real consequences for stuffing up. Nothing happened in the opening action scene (*as in the game just looped waiting for you to do something and didn't punish you for waiting).
Hopefully an update to address this will come out soon....

My review might be a bit confusing. But it's the truth. So, basically, the game is great. Just not for faint hearts. :)
"It's, um... disgusting and overly sexual. The story is interesting, yet, disturbing.
It's pretty atmospheric. Part of the story is found in the dairies of the dead. I've read some weird ass stuff...
Overall, it's a great game. If you like point-and-click style games + horror + nice story, you'll love it.
But you better read some comments or more info, instead of being overly dramatic and giving negative cuz "This game is not for me".
The only flaw I found is that it doesn't have a tutorial or anything. I mean, you have to click on stuff, mix items, click everywhere possible, and try everything on everything... cuz there were parts where I watched a video just to see wtf am I supposed to do."

Graphics are good and the story line keeps you intrigued enough. It is worth playing, but as stated in previous reviews the puzzles can be confusing. I suggest having a walk through available to reference when stuck. From what I gather this is a sequel, not a prequel.
