It's my comfort game <3 I love the characters, the humor, the language an the graphics, and every time I feel like I need a hug, I play Monster Prom and it always makes me feel better :)

The setup is simple but brilliant. You’re a student at Spooky High, and prom is just a few weeks away. Your goal? Convince one of your monster classmates to be your date. Along the way, you’ll boost your stats (like Boldness, Creativity, and Charm), make ridiculous choices, and get into bizarre misadventures involving cursed artifacts, sentient toilets, and eldritch deities with commitment issues.
But here's the twist: Monster Prom can be played with up to four players, turning the traditionally solo dating sim genre into a party game full of sabotage, competition, and shared laughter.
The heart of the game lies in its six main romance options, each a colorful stereotype turned on its head. There's:
-Polly, the party-obsessed ghost with a surprisingly deep outlook on life (and afterlife)
-Damien, the hot-headed demon with a soft side for chaos
-Vera, the cunning gorgon capitalist who turns ambition into an art form
-Liam, the vampire hipster too cool for everything—even prom

-Scott, the lovable but clueless werewolf with muscles and heart
Each character has their own unique arc, and the writing is sharp, self-aware, and often laugh-out-loud funny. There’s a lot of fourth-wall breaking, social satire, and absurd humor, but also moments of genuine character development that sneak up on you.
You choose how to spend each turn—attending class, hitting the gym, or starting drama in the cafeteria. These choices affect your stats, which in turn influence whether you succeed in key interactions. Want to impress Damien with a prank? Better have high Boldness. Trying to outsmart Vera? Hope your Smarts are up.
There’s real strategy behind the silliness, especially when playing with others. You can try to boost yourself or sabotage your friends, adding a fun layer of competition.
The random events and dialogue combinations are impressively varied, giving the game high replay value. One moment you’re entering an interdimensional business pitch contest, and the next you’re summoned to hell by mistake.
The game’s 2D art style is bold, bright, and full of personality. Every character expression is exaggerated, every background dripping with spooky flair. The soundtrack is upbeat and stylish, with enough variety to keep things fresh over multiple playthroughs.
Voice acting is minimal but effective, with narrator Brian David Gilbert (from Polygon fame) absolutely nailing the absurdity and charm of the tone.

i played this fucking game to distract myself from my crippling depression and was then called unattractive and disgusting by pixels. my day is ruined. would still play again tho

Such a fun and hilarious game. Multiplayer is fantastic! The amount of routes the story can take is nuts 10/10 dating sim

Simple game but very fun. Visual novel-esque but with enough events that you can play over and over barely seeing the same outcome. Can start to feel a little formulaic if you play a lot though
