In the year 20XX AD, Tokyo is nothing but a dystopic wasteland overrun by living corpses known as the Undead. Here we find two sisters who descend from a long line of expert swordsmen, yet were born to different mothers. The elder sister, Aya, was raised by her father, who subjected her to rigorous training in the way of the blade. Meanwhile, the younger sister, Saki, was raised by her mother, learning to despise her father for abandoning them and taking her sister away.
When her father goes missing, Aya decides to put her skills with the sword to use as an Undead-hunter. Upon her beloved mother’s murder, Saki becomes consumed to the point of insanity with a desperate thirst for revenge, resorting to manipulating the Undead to achieve her goal.
Aya resolves to seek out her younger sister, her only surviving relation, while Saki is determined to resurrect her mother using an ancient art passed down through the ages. This art, however, requires the heart of a blood relative to work, meaning that the younger sister must kill the elder if she is to have her sworn vengeance.
And so, amidst a swirling storm of love, hate, and intrigue, the battle between the two sisters begins!

Friggin' LOVE this game!
If you like fanservice filled action games, that are full of absolutely hot women, lots of T&A, plenty of gore, fun songs, and a replayable length, this game is just a pure joy to play. Can't recommend it enough. If you're able to, DEFINITELY get the deluxe edition (preferably on sale), since you get ALL SORTS of REALLY wonderfully lewd costumes to dress the girls up in.
Eva is best girl, btw :)

Pretty fun game but extremely short. The main story took me 6h, so I would only recommend it on sale. Parrying and dodging are a must, so if that's not for you then you may not like this game.

Once you get past the insanely bad optimization, it's really not that bad of a game.

Wait for a sale. Then have fun slicing up undead in this DMC inspired anime game. Check the community page for the thread with fixes for known issues. If you get this game for what it is, the bikini zombie slayer, there's enough for a good time if you don't take the story and setting too seriously.

Even though it's a step back in basically every way from the previous game, Z2 Chaos, it's still fun enough that you won't regret playing it if you like these kind of games. The visuals and presentation are the only upgrade from Z2, though I'm not sure I want all games in this series going forward to use the anime aesthetic. (I want them to work towards the visual style of the promotional pre-rendered images for Z2) I know this is supposed to be a remake of some of the earliest games in the series, but that doesn't mean the gameplay additions from Z2 have to be left out. Basically, compared to Z2... you only have 2 chars on your team instead of 4, and some key actions are missing. Most noticeably, you don't have the homing dash and you can't keep combos alive by spamming dodge. So you will frequently lose your combos cause it's just not possible to catch up to a new enemy fast enough. You also don't have nearly as many ways to juggle and relaunch/bounce enemies, especially from mid-air. This doesn't ruin the game as there is still plenty of fun to be had with what actions and attacks are here, but it helps to accept ahead of time that the combo potential is nowhere as crazy as Z2.

Nice hack and slash with really satisfying combat for me. I really enjoyed this game sadly its short only 6 hours story playtime.. but it has an arena mode after the story so you can challange yourself. For me it was the perfekt game to shut of my brain and just slash trough enemys with a little bit of doging and parrying includet. Story was alright but nothing deep or special in my opinion, i didnt mind because i just really enjoyed the combat and overall setting. Overall i had alot of fun.

If you like Warriors style games, you'll like this. It's a basic hack and slash with a few combos and transformations, nothing crazy. But it is the type of gameplay that is addictive for its simplicity. The story is interesting to say the least. I never played the original Onee Chanbara games, but it feels like the concept was created and that was about it. The story feels a like there are cool ideas there but they are not really fleshed out well. Some interactions seem a little odd, no weight behind them the way that you can tell it seems like there should have been. Or maybe it is supposed to be a comedy/campy story?
The main story is short and will only take you a few hours (5-8 max) to complete. However, the short length lends itself well to multiple completions for all difficulties. There is also an infinite survival mode to tackle which you can unlock another character in if you get far enough.
The DLC missions do not add much, but they do expand on the story especially for the unlockable character (which you have to unlock before you can play those DLC missions); however, they feel like they should have been in the game to start. Also one of the DLC costumes has concept art in the Base Game Art section and shows up in the achievements, so it seems that this was meant to be in the game but was later parted off to DLC. Kinda lame.
Overall, it was a good time though. If you do everything you should get around 20 hours out of it. If it's on sale give it a shot.
