an overall improvement from the original but theres a few things that bug me:
1. the lack of infinite lives in story mode and how few lives you start with without any upgrades (sure the starting levels are ez but they do hold me back from playing around more and force me to focus, it could easily be too much stress for a casual player preventing them from actually enjoying the flow of the game) (idk if the infinite lives mode in the original was there from day 1 or added later tho)
2. the overwhelming collectibles system that breaks the rhythm: this isn't an open world game, and you can't just teleport everywhere to revisit places again, and this is also supposed to be a very speedy game where fast rhythm is expected from start to finish. with these prerequisites i would expect the collectibles to be 1. easy to collect without veering off from main objective too much 2. irrelevant to character building / stats so they wont help you make progress (but the game failed to do both of these, so the result is that you always have to go down a side path to collect something in the heat of parkour / combat, or else your character & inventory wont grow, thus breaking the flow)
3. this is more personal & not rlly important but i actually prefer the original tutorial with less dialogue, and i just kinda dislike any newly added dialogue in the game cause the plot is still there without them and they feel unnecessary smh

i'll be honest, this isn't the best or most polished game, but it is fun. i'd recommend playing titanfall 2 or mirror's edge, then coming back to this game if you want more of the genre.
