SNKRX is an arcade shooter roguelite where you control a snake made of multiple heroes, with each one having their own attacks, passives and classes. Inspired by the auto-battler genre, each hero in the snake has a set of classes, and combining enough heroes of the same class together grants additional class bonuses. Heroes can also be upgraded to be more powerful when copies are bought from the shop.Gameplay
- Your snake can’t stop moving, turn it left or right to steer
- Your heroes attack automatically when close to enemies
- Combine heroes of the same classes together to unlock unique class bonuses
- Clearing arenas grants gold, which can be used to hire heroes at the shop
- Buying enough copies of the same heroes levels them up, making them more powerful
Features
- 40+ heroes, each with unique attacks and passives
- 12+ classes, each giving stat boosts and modifiers to your snake
- 40+ passive items, each giving strong global effects to your snake
- 25+ levels of increasing difficulty as the run progresses
- 15+ Steam achievements
- Soundtrack by Kubbi

I don't get the absurd amount of complaints this game gets.... Its cheap, has a simple mechanic (Snake with combat).
Games are not forever, this game is complete and fun for the price point. Development has stopped and that is ok, devs are not beholden to eternal updates.
Grab the game, have 5+ hours of fun gameplay, go eat something and that is it.

Amazing game creative heros and items that make you feel incredibly powerful yet somehow maintain balance
And so much variety that sometimes your actually happy when you die because it means you get to try a new build

for the price, snkrx offers an insane amount of content... I'm amazed at how much it achieves with minimalism and simple art style

simple system
buy heroes, longer snake = more strength, but less navigable
higher difficulties, longer snake = stronger enemies, but more synergies
items and achievements push experimentation
every time new strategies emerge
i like SNKRX
good game

This game is fantastic. Quick to learn, easy to get good, tons of nuance and room for min-maxing as well as RNGesus. Well worth every penny for this little roguelite. Also lets you save and exit a run midway through, which is sorely lacking on a lot of games in this genre.

phenomenally done game with a simple concept. It is absolutely worth 3 dollars. Took me a while to beat NG+5 (new game) since I was being stubborn but I just decided to do the easy win route, which is a warrior build.
By the end of it you can only play one or two builds by NG+4 to consistently win. So if you only want to play builds you enjoy just stick to difficulties before that.

This is a 5/10 game IMO, so I don't want to not recommend, but I don't think its that good. For a $1 game it's fine, but I have no desire to play another run. I won after 4 runs, and I basically almost won on my 2nd run ever. The build and shop system is good, but the waves go on for too long. Runs take forever, especially if you have a bad or low dps build. I think the runs should be shorter and harder, which would force you to play faster and get better at the movement.
