About the Game”Rhythmy” is a new arcade-style rhythm bullet hell game, coming out March 24th on PC, Mac & Linux.

EARLY ACCESS CONTENT
As the game is slowly but surely getting closer to the official release, we’ll be adding more levels, modes and features to the game! But until then, here’s what you can expect from the early access build on the day it launches:
– 2 Chapters – Which will have their own design and music style!
– 7 Levels – Splitted across these chapters!
– 4 Mutators – Mutators are level modifiers that will power-up your experience, making everything even harder!
– All Mutators Challenge – This is the ultimate challenge for people seeking real difficulty, you’ll have to complete the level with all mutators enabled at once, are you ready for this?
– Level Editor – Express your creativity with the Level Editor, create, share your creations with the community!GAME RELEASE FEATURES
The game in its final form will be much different, and with your input, we really hope to make it even better! Here’s what you can expect from the release of the game:
– 4 Colorful Chapters – with their own art/music style!
– 16 Levels – Which will be split across each chapter!
– Even more game modes! – Once you’ll complete the game, you’ll unlock more game modes, more ways to enjoy the game (and being challenged!)

so for over year and right now the foreseeable future, this game has ceased its development. the game dev has stated multiple times that he has not abandoned the project, but does not presently have the time/money to work on the game. a few levels have bugs that make them unfair / nonsensical for some periods of time, and there are still persistent performance issues for lesser performing devices. these things WOULD be addressed in upcoming updates, but we havent seen any for a while. If you want a complete or polished game, or a game that is receiving updates from an active dev, as it stands this isnt it.
In its current state, its a prototype for a game. It's still pretty cheap, theres a few levels, and theres the dev promise of more content at SOME point, so if youre interested in the genre it may still be worth a go, but the game and the related discord is in a very sad state as of now, so i can't really recommend the game.
I hope that it can be worked on again in the near future, I enjoyed the gameplay a fair bit while this game was in development. Im leaving this review positive in hopes of a change, but it's likely this game will simply collect more dust as time goes by.

Such high quality but it just feels so weird to play... its extremely difficult because you cant make a small move because the triangle tracks the tip of the mouse
so if you try to move down it will just rotate

Music is nice, Design is Amazing so far, but the Game Style ittself is really bad.
This game has Mouse Controls, and it goes as a bullet hell game, but your hitbox is NOT where your mouse is.
its alwas behind your cursor, so your cursor can get hit, but not the "ship" behind it.
which makes it worse, if you wanna go suddenly in the opposite direction, you have to accept an unavoidable delay where the ship wont move, which easily can cost you a life.
it isnt that fun to play for me like this at least.
Still going to recommend it forpeople who dont have a problem with this, because music and design are still pretty good.

I like it. It's hard, it has a level editor (pretty scuffed atm tbh, but still) and it has a good music. Kinda laggy on my 10 yo microwave, feels like I'm playing on integrated GPU, but that's my hardware's problem, not the game's.

Really fun rhythmic bullet-hell experience with quite the difficulty on some of the levels which make the game overall really fun and satisfying when completed. The challenges make the levels extra fun too. Definitely recommended if you're looking into the barrage of bullets that this game has in store in the future and in it's lovely editor. Remember though! It's tough! It is meant to be tough too!
