Explore huge, beautiful worlds, meet (and beat) an unforgettable cast of characters and horde a vault-load of shiny collectibles as buddy-duo Yooka (the green one) and Laylee (the wisecracking bat with the big nose) embark on an epic adventure to thwart corporate creep Capital B and his devious scheme to absorb all the world’s books… and convert them into pure profit! Using their arsenal of special moves, our heroes will tackle a huge variety of puzzles and platforming challenges in their search for Pagies, the golden bounty used to unlock — and expand — stunning new worlds, each jammed to the gills with oddball characters, hulking bosses, minecart challenges, arcade games, quiz shows, multiplayer games… and much more!

Yooka-Laylee is a super fun game that is clear it's developed by some former Rare employees that worked on Banjo-Kazooie.
However, replaying the original Yooka-Laylee after playing Yooka-Replaylee you defnitely notice a bunch of crappy design choices the developers decided to bring over from Banjo-Kazooie. Those design choices sucked in the '90s and they suck even more today.
Yooka-Laylee is like a modern take on Banjo-Kazooie, while Yooka-Replaylee is if Banjo-Kazooie and Mario Odyssey had a baby.
I am glad both exist, and they are both fun in their own ways.
Oh, by the way, the native Linux version is completely broken. You must play it via Proton if you are on Linux, which luckily works perfectly.

If you're a fan of the old school collect-a-thon style 3D platformers I can almost guarantee you'll find something you like in this game. While it does have it's warts (no fast travel to different levels or locations in levels) it's definitely still a fun game!

I've heard mixed opinions about this one, but personally I had lot of fun! The game was also surprisingly difficult at times, but not in an annoying way ^^

I don't understand where most of the negative feedback is coming from. This is very much a faithful 3D platformer akin to the original Banjo Kazooie games. The writing is clever and hilarious, the levels are expansive (and can be kind of empty at parts, but not terribly), the boss fights are fun, the skills are great and easy to use, and I love the progression. Overall great game, cheaper than anything that came out on N64, and absolutely worth it if you were a fan of the classic platform collectathons.

A good first entry in a new series. Fun, charismatic and with many cool ideas. Nice characters and worlds, decent challenges, great soundtrack. Had some issues right after the release but several of them were addressed with patches.
The one thing I don't like, however, is that the levels become absolutely MASSIVE after you fully unlock them. The moveset helps exploring them with ease regardless of that, so if you like big open worlds, you'll love it. But I prefer my playing area a bit more concise.

An excellent game, similar to a 3d metroidvania without combat, and perfectly suited to kids and adults alike.
The native Mac version of the game has game breaking bugs ( at least on Apple silicon ) but the windows version works fine with crossover (!).

Very enjoyable - bright graphics, smooth gameplay.
