On the scale of Yuck to Feast, I'd rate this one "mystery meat pot pie"
Well it's a gacha style game, so it's definitely not healthy, but so far I'm rather enjoying it. The UI is crisp, and I am a fan of whatever you want to call the pixel/sprites/presentation, even if it's probably low budget.
I haven't hit any pay walls yet, and the F2P factor seems fairly generous. I am catching glimpses of either a P2W leading edge/crowd, or a group that may or may not have gotten a head start (that would be annoying). All of my matches appear to be against bots so far, which is concerning for a lack of community, but it does avoid the painful PvP intro, and there's a decent amount of PvE content too. Whales are dumb (if not necessary for long term survival of games like these), but I'm already tempted to drop a few bucks if I can find some budget values in the store.
The basic game play loop is short battles of 3-5 vs. 3-5, where half the strategy is your initial choice of starting position and team composition, and then the other half of the strategy is playing it out reasonably not stupid. Which makes it somewhat easy on the brain, and casually fun. It's not complex or unique, but there is a decent variety of game modes to mix it up a bit and overall it is...competent.
Better than expected so far. Thanks Camex.

Before I played Arena Tactics, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
