Darkverse: Rogue
Long ago, the world was a calm and peaceful place. Intelligent technologies and neurobiology arose with a Promethean promise of innovation and full human liberty. But the concentration of power led to the emergence of two dominant intergalactic corporate factions, constantly competing for more power and valuable resources. The war that broke out between them led to an extensive techno-biological disaster, with devastating consequences. What was finally left behind, was an inhospitable dangerous universe, in which only scavengers, bloodthirsty creatures and men of mayhem live.
Those who lived to tell the story they call it Darkverse, and only the fittest will survive.
Darkverse: Rogue is a FPS SCI-FI Roguelite game for PC and ConsolesFeatures
Slow but thrilling, pixelated-messy combat pace. Learn your enemies’ weak and strong spots, attack with caution and watch out for combined attacks. In each run you will pick up different weapons, upgrade them, use them efficiently and rise to victory.
Optimize your run. Unlock different kind of augments that can make you stronger, faster and deadlier. Micromanaging ammunition, weapons, consumables and gathering all the resources, makes for an effective run.
Unravel the mystery that have (almost) sealed your fate. Above all, Darkverse is a journey in search of yourself!
Our main characters
Alex, our hero. Alex is a young man, working as a system expert in Acantha laboratories. He is a self-made man, strong in his believes, he has his own ways of doing things, but he is usually very effective. His main flaw is that he is impulsive and more than often lets his emotions and anxieties overwhelm him.
Abbey, the AI. Abbey is the human AI, that manages the entire spacecraft. She is always in touch with Alex and tries to help him, but from time to time she manifests human personality traits, such as irony and edginess. Abbey and Alex have a unique relationship which some people may also call friendship.
Ody-6, the Nar-Droid. A small dimwitted robot-assistant that follows Alex and helps him around. Nar-Droids are general remnants of an earlier technological age. Nar-Droids are not known for their capabilities, seems a bit goofy but they are useful enough!
Disclaimer: Darkverse: Rogue is in pre alpha stage, which means that changes are bound to happen and much more content has yet to be added.

Good game with a good foundation. A lot of the perks kinda felt underwhelming as there are only really a handful that make you feel powerful. Weapon upgrading was also a little underpowered considering the cost investment in it.
The two biggest upgrades I would like to see is a focus on movement, as right now you'll lose to bosses being caught in a reload/health usage - a simple fix here would be to cancel those animations in favor of a dodge, jump, or sprint. The last upgrade is please make the kick able to open supply creates instead of braking them. My first run I was convinced the game was stingy on health and ammo but it was only because I used my foot to open creates and cacoons instead of the melee weapon.
But I really enjoyed the game.
Also gad damn that cake!

Eating so good this year from Deadzone: Rogue , VOID/Breaker, Metal Eden , and now Moros Protocol .
This game easily hits all the check boxes :
Skill tree
Voxel graphics
Satisfying combat once you start to get the flow of it and the pace of combat
Great cutscenes
Fair but challenging bosses
It's a great game and worth the price tag , definitely stands among the bests in shooter roguelike genre . Can't wait to put in more hours !

This is a DOOM-flavored Rogue like game with core mechanics of classic FPS games—no flashy frills, just pure focus on: dashing/shooting/looting/exploring.
The game offers vast skill trees and numerous buffs, providing players with diverse play options. It also features room-to-room teleportation (start/exit points) to eliminate backtracking after exploration.
Both the player and weapons can equip various buffs, with buff slots determined by weapon rarity—adding unique twists to even the same weapon.

Short but sweet, fun boomer shooter but a tad expensive for the length of the game. Try getting it on sale.

I like this game so far its actually really dope and fun. I just wanted to write a review quick to point out just some quick gripes that really annoyed me at the start and kinda mad a bad impression. This game is designed to be used with a gun which you dont start with. Just using the melee you run outta stamina fast and you cant hit explosive barrels and you're getting perks for guns. So the start was actually really annoying but it doesnt really last long and isnt a huge deal because you can unlock starting with a gun early on but it makes a bad impression and that can drive away a lot of players on if you dont hook em in that first like 30m-1h. Also why am i getting sent to a shop where things are 30+ credits when everything I did before couldnt have possibly given me enough. Also super minor gripe the flash light effect being rendered pixelated just doesnt look good to me personaIly wish there was an option to change in settings to like a normal flash light or the default.
