Rocky Mayhem is a hardcore space shooter inspired by the classic ‘Asteroids’ game. You play as a pilot, who has recently received distress calls from a fellow astronaut from Neptune. Your mission is to extract your colleague from the area but what you learn will shock you…
Play through multiple levels and progress through the story to find out why your co-worker was lingering around Neptune and help save Earth from a potential attack.

Poor visuals and controls, yet for some casual fun it is alright.

thou i havent had the pleasure of playing this yet, i wish to at least acknowledge that the developer is committed. they arent recieving the attention they deserve, despite their persistent updates. hope this works out for them in the end but they dont appear to be finished yet!

Rocky Mayhem is Asteroids, but it does enough to keep it fresh, with new modes and some progression. For a free game (and I believe the dev's first) it is definitely good.
However, that isn't to say there isn't some space to improve. Whilst the core gameplay is good, I feel there are many inconsistencies across how the game plays in each mode, as well as an overall lack of communication to the player (whether that be Sound Effects, or extra visual effects). For a game to 'feel' truly great, it needs that visual feedback to convey to the player the effect in the game world.
All in all, a good first game that plays into the best of its inspirations, but isn't without some rough edges expected from a debut.

I was initially going to rate this game a 0/10, That was until i had read a very insightful review posted by a user whom explained in great detail that the grey objects are in fact space rock and NOT clumps of grey dirt . what a relief 10/10
