Remothered: Tormented Fathers

very good game if you enjoy Survival Horror subgenre, but i would go further and classify it as "Stalker Horror", similar to the game Clock Tower:
A main enemy is tracking you
You CAN'T kill him
You have to hide and/or lure his attention

Dropping a quick review for those of you seeing this game is free at the moment and wondering if it's worth your time. Quick answer for horror lovers is yes, the game is heavily inspired by clock tower with seemingly unfair chase mechanics (easy once you figure them out) and a bunch of mostly fetch quests puzzles which go from mundane to thrilling as your chased by an old man with his ass crack hanging out (not even a joke). The game is equally good and terrible which is a continual theme in this and the sequel with bugs galore but I can't deny this game is lots of fun and has a rediculous yet entertaining story. Somehow Jodie Foster still isn't aware they completely stole her likeness from Silence of the Lambs which I'm grateful for as Clarice cough, I mean Rosemary is a great central character.
Grab it while it's free and have a silly gorey time, you may even take a liking to the series like I did, crazy to see a third is on the way with how broken the second game is :D

I remember playing this game years ago, but never finished it because of clunky controls and some bugs.

Finally I did finish it, but my 8 hours of playtime is not correct. This game can be completed in around 4 hours.

The story worked fine for me, the gameplay so-so. Mechanics were OK, but throwing objects never worked for me. It's still pretty fun, if you can ignore the issues it has. On sale, definitely worth it.

Alien Isolation is my favourite horror game of all time, so when I heard this had a similar stalker style antagonist AI, I was intrigued. And yeah, there are shades of that cat and mouse tension here, but it never reaches the same terrifying behaviour that the Xenomorph had. The rough around the edges mechanics mean it sometimes crosses from tense into straight-up frustrating. That said, the atmosphere is great very old-school horror vibes and the narrative is genuinely interesting. It’s the story that ultimately kept me pushing through, even when the gameplay was testing me. Other players have said the same the world and sound design pull you in, and when the game hits, it really hits. It’s just worth noting the story can get a bit convoluted if you don’t keep up with all the notes and lore pieces, and there are some technical hiccups depending on the platform. Still, you don’t see many modern games try to emulate something as intense as Isolation and for that alone, it deserves some respect. Even with the rough patches, it’s worth trying if you want that slow burn horror.

This was my first time playing a horror game, and it was even free to keep! It was alright.
I'm not good at this type of game, so I played by watching videos.
It's basically about being in a large, maze-like house, dodging pursuers while searching for items to trigger story events. Overall, the gameplay loop is fairly repetitive.
Although the game is somewhat repetitive and slow-paced, overall it was okay.
The atmosphere is good, and the story is decent too.
My only complaint is that it seems to get buggy towards the end. First, the game crashed, and then whenever I got killed, it would get stuck on the loading screen, forcing me to force quit. This happened several times, and it became really frustrating.

I've just finished this amazing game! altho you got to play with some extremely incompetent and unskilled lady.... 1st she doesn't carry a gun nor a hidden belt buckle knife!
Ladies here on steam always carry a gun, you can put it on your purse if you want, for people outside America just buy a hidden belt buckle knife cuz it's quite useful.
I am trying to escape this old psycho mansion but is nearly impossible so far since I stabbed him twice, one on his right shoulder and the other one was his left lung but he has been taking C₈H₁₁NO₃ aka norepinephrine and other drugs, he is in his 80s and on his bed has his dead wife corpse... >.>' and there is only one single housekeeper for the entire mansion and why she didn't leave? quite sus.
Also this old man can't even wear some boxer briefs maybe he forgot what underwear is...?
He lost his marbles many decades ago so yeah.... I got his medical record, totally insane, his last shrink left him and wrote that can't help him.
Also you get items during the game diversion items, such as rope which helps with some locked doors, music box, clock, brick and NH3 aka ammonia which your can throw at his face to slow him down.
you can dodge but it sucks, you can counter attack using knives which I got like 10 and this lady instead of sliting his throat or the heart, stabbed him on the shoulder and left lung.
You can die pretty easy, she got hurt badly this girl should have take a deep breath, when you got stabbed your heart's beating three times the normal rate, cuz you're losing so much blood, just breathe and calm down if the direct pressure fails and you're bleeding too much, improvise a tourniquet put always above the wound, call 911 immediately if you can but do as I say otherwise calm down otherwise in 30 seconds your body's gonna shut down.
As this old psycho and very sick man, he reminds me of H.H Howard Hughes but Hughes wasn't a psycho just a genius who lost his mind due the 1st plane crash that he had and almost died back on july 7, 1946 when he was piloting the Hughes XF-11, he got addicted to xanax aka alprazolam, ativan aka clonazepam, morphine, codeine, etc.
He bought the (TWA) Trans World Airlines which was the (T&WA) Transcontinental & Western Air and now the TWA is American Airlines.
Mr. Hughes was a genius, he had severe OCD since his childhood because of his mother, he made many famous movies, dated a lot of wonderful actress, was a brilliant aerospace engineer, film producer, businessman, aviator, great pilot btw, also you guys don't know but he designed and flew the designed H-4 Hercules aka Spruce Goose, I read a lot of books about him when I was a young and watched so many documentaries about his life.
He basically was the man who put Las Vegas on the map, spent more than $300 million buying everything you can imagine, casinos, hotels, etc.
I remember of two things that he did which is quite funny and bizarre at the same time, he ate some ice cream and love that flavor which when he ordered one of his bodyguards to buy they told him that they wasn't making anymore what he did? he called the owner of the ice cream industry and bought for some millions the entire Co. just to make this flavor lmao and sent to him.
Another fun fact is that Mr. Hughes purchased the Desert Inn (often associated with the Nevada desert locale) back in March 1967 for $13.2 million after its management threatened to evict him from the penthouse, what he did! alright let me buy it since I'm being treated poorly.... LOL
Basically The standoff began in November 1966, when Mr. Hughes arrived in Las Vegas on a special train in the dead of night, seeking total seclusion. He rented the entire ninth-floor penthouse of the Desert Inn. He was deeply germaphobic, highly secretive, and had no interest in the casino downstairs. He blacked out the windows, refused to leave his suite, and communicated with his staff almost entirely through memos and closed doors.
This arrangement worked fine until the holidays approached. The Desert Inn was managed by Moe Dalitz, a figure with deep ties to organized crime. New Year's Eve was the most lucrative time of the year for Las Vegas casinos, and the penthouse suites were traditionally comped to high rollers—"whales" who would drop massive amounts of money at the tables. Hughes wasn't gambling a single cent. Dalitz and the hotel management demanded that Hughes vacate the suite to make room for actual casino patrons.
Hughes refused. Rather than pack his bags, he took ownership of the property hahahaha.
That spite purchase sparked a massive buying spree. Over the next few years, Hughes went on to acquire the Sands, the Frontier, the Castaways, the Silver Slipper, and the Landmark, spending an estimated $300 million on Las Vegas real estate and casinos this back in 1966 so today in 2026 it's $3.1 billion.
By purchasing these properties, Hughes unintentionally drove organized crime out of the casino business. The Nevada Gaming Commission welcomed Hughes with open arms, eager to legitimize the city's image. Because Hughes operated his casinos as corporate entities rather than mob-run cash operations, he set the precedent for the modern Las Vegas Strip. His refusal to check out of his hotel room paved the way for the era of corporate mega-resorts that define the city today.

Remothered Tormented Fathers is a solid 8/10 just because this lady is too incompetent and unskilled also dumb since she doesn't have a gun and don't know how to use a knife....
But I highly recommend it.
Can't wait for the sequel which is Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered

So let me write here The Hughes H-1 racer was the fastest landplane in the world.
On September 13, 1935, Mr. Hughes flew it to an official speed record of 352.388 mph over a course in Santa Ana, California, there is also the Transcontinental Record (1937), Mr. Hughes flew the H-1 from Burbank, California, to Newark, New Jersey, in a blistering 7 hours, 28 minutes, and 25 seconds, shattering his own previous transcontinental record.
He was so damn brilliant and smart that he got hired to work at TWA as an emplooye just a simple baggage handler to see how it was lol worked there for 3 months, when he was already one of the wealthiest man alive, then left and bought the Company and it started the fight between his company (TWA) Trans World Airlines and
Pan American World Airways (Pan Am).
He was the most influential people in the world during his lifetime, made billions and was a genius, it's sad that OCD no one knew what it was.... also became more and more reclusive, taking painkillers, sleeping pills, never leaving the Desert In like for months, not shaving or taking bath, telling to his employees do not speak to him just write.

I wasn't expecting Remothered: Tormented Fathers to get under my skin as much as it did. The atmosphere is genuinely unsettling, and the constant feeling of being hunted kept me tense the whole time. The controls can be frustrating here and there, but the creepy story and psychological horror more than made up for it. If you enjoy slow burn horror that focuses on tension rather than jump scares, it's definitely worth playing
