Edit
Take your ship to sea and challenge your friends for the title of ‘Sea King’.
Play with 3 other friends or against the brutally clever AI or against both friends and AI.
No party is complete without a naval fighting game.
The victor wins brag rights.

Very fun party type gaming, but i'm disappointed that it is controller only. Hopefully there is keyboard/mouse support soon.

Pretty Good. If you love these kinds of arena games you will like it. It reminds me of circle of sumo which is good since that is a fun game :)
Love the pirate chants/yells when they fire. Plenty of different game modes to keep it fresh and fun.
Only 1 problem when you use a switch controller the controls are all wonky since B and A are different then Xbox. Don't really think it could be fixed or needs to be because I'll just bring my Xbox controllers to my friends next time.

Fun game for couch co-op, it would be nice to see full online multiplayer support.

Nice game with good variety of game modes.
It looks and runs great (although no ultrawide screen support, you'l have to change your resolution).
It is made to be played locally with friends, but there is also bot support.
You control your boat with the left joystick and fire your 4 canons that are assigned to the 4 face buttons, facing front, rear, left and right of the boat.
I just wish they made it a little bit clearer to identify which canon is which, either with colors or icons, because it takes some time to get used to fire properly when your boat is facing south for example (the canons look inverted regarding the face buttons orientation).

Got this game on sale for 50 cents and bought it for two of my friends as well. This game game SLAPS. 100% get it, even if its only for a one night drinking game. Remote play works surprisingly well.

Sea King Review – Experience Fast-paced Naval Combat
Introduction
Playing games with friends is quite interesting, especially when all friends are playing against each other for victory. How exciting is to be the last standing person by taking down the other three members. Clean your room, set your couch and invite three friends to play against you. Have you enough guts to defeat your other friends in 4-player local co-op game? Sea King is one of the most anticipated video game that is offering Action-based 4-player Local co-op gameplay, brought to you by Interactive Stone.
The game isn’t as easy as you are considering, with highly detailed graphics, top-down perspective, and challenging gameplay, it would be tough to master. To provide you high-quality gameplay, the developer is introducing a perfect mix of several genres and the most exciting thing is that there’s a PvP (Player versus Player) mode, pitting up to four friends against each other simultaneously via Split-screen option.
Be a Captain of a Ship
Sea King lets you become a ship captain and try to experience brutal fights on various environments from a top-down perspective. Whether play against friends or AI-controlled pirates, your ultimate objective is to eliminate opposing characters using your weapon-equipped ship. Using the standard controls, you can move in any direction, shoot fire, take shelter behind any objects, and find attack timely to destroy the opposing players. In the game, you aren’t limited to play with a single ship, you have choices to opt whatever ship you love to sail on the sea to show off your pirate skills.
4-player Co-op Gameplay like Gang Beasts
Similar to Gang Beasts, players have to battle for their survival and the last remaining player will win the match. Each player has a health meter and upon having attacked, the health meter losses a point. Players aren’t only the challenge you may face upon playing, other vicious sea creatures are venturing the sea to damage you. While playing the game, you need to be careful, because the danger is lurking everywhere.
Experience Distinct Gameplay Whenever You Play
With up to 9 exciting modes, it is confirmed that you will never experience the gameplay completion twice. Wear your pirate cap, prepare your ship, and jump on the sea to complete the task to advance. Using the customization option, you can make your ship even more deadly using a set of weapons and use against your opposing players to never give them a single minute to plan an attack against you. There are nine exciting modes, such as:
1. Random
2. Deathmatch
3. Last Ship Standing
4. Capture the Flag
5. Fishing
6. Treasure Hunter
7. Shark Pong
8. Pearls Collector
9. Seagull’s Nest
10. Siren’s Song
11. Vortex Royale
Each mode is offering unique gameplay and a distinct objective to complete. For example, in Last Ship Standing, your objective is to be the last standing ship at the end of the match, while in Deathmatch mode, you need to be the first, who destroy five ships, to win the game.
Verdict
Offering 4-player co-op mode is too much, as the game comes with addictive gameplay. Although there are not exciting features, the game lets you sit on a couch with friends and play against each other on a single screen. We would love to give it 8 out of 10, because of offering so much fun, competitive gameplay, exciting sound effects, and detailed graphics.

A fun and quick game to play with friends. Controls are simple but hard to master.
Lots of modes. Most of them are not that well thought out, but you can't really ask for more at that price.
