One of the greatest games of it's era.
If you're like me, a 90s baby, this game came out right at the peak of gaming.
This game was revolutionary. It came at the height of the war in the Middle East. It didn't matter if your parents were R or D. If they watched CNN or FOX. As a kid the war over there was in your face 24-7. On tv, at school, everywhere there was commentary on what was going on.
So, as a kid, to be able to have a game "put you in" the middle of a modern war was TOP TIER. The campaign was, and is, so good to play. The story is just so phenomenal. It made you feel like you were apart of a bigger national conflict.
The multiplayer was amazing too. It felt like every match you were apart of the "bigger conflict" in the background of the campaign. It also was revolutionary. Perks, killstreaks, game modes. It was all so new at the time. I had been playing online COD since COD 2. So the jump from those, to COD 4 was literally mind blowing. Activision at the time had struck gold.
If you weren't around during it's release, you won't understand how this game changed "the game". It wasn't afraid to push boundaries. It wasn't afraid to try something new.
So, I got this on Steam to take a trip back down memory lane. The original MW trilogy is like an old friend. It never gets old.

Don't play multiplayer unless you have the COD4x client. Anyways campaign did not disappoint.
The start of one of the best trilogies to grace humanity. this game is banging and deserves to live on forever. Miss you OG COD.

Play this COD, do not buy the new COD games, they are very bad, just buy this:
- The Graphics have aged well enough
- You get that grounded grunt feeling
- Music is top notch and i love it
- The story is pretty well written
- Any difficulty over Regular is VERY hard
Conclusion: 10/10 One of the Golden COD games.
