You can find the mod down below, it genuinely fixes everything!
Juiced Mod:
Review -
I grew up with this game back in 2009 on my Xbox 360 and have countless memories. I bought this game nearly a decade ago and was discouraged from playing it ever again due to the condition the game was left in. The game is unoptimized to all hell and basic functions didn't work properly. The list of problems are nearly endless, but I heard whispers that a new mod had entered the scene that aimed to recapture that magic it held on the 7th gen consoles. Giving it some thought and after not playing the game for nearly 15 years, I figured it was time to try it out and dive back into the streets of Stilwater. Firing it up and seeing how smoothly everything worked with the Juiced Mod brought a smile to my face that not many games can and I can't thank the modders enough for what they've done here. They made Idol Ninja's efforts truly worth it in the end. It felt like I went back in time and got to experience the game all over again for what felt like the first time. I know it's primarily supposed to be a reveiw on the game, but in all honesty, I really do just want to praise the mod developers. You guys knocked it out of the damn park. Thank you for allowing me to relive a piece of my childhood in a way I never thought would be possible. (The game is really fun still so if you've never tried it, I'd say this is the definitive way now)

Without patches the game runs terribly, the Steam version is even worse because the .exe file hasn't been updated like the GoG version. That being said with patches the game runs a lot better and is playable at 60+fps. Download the Juiced patch, Gentleman's of the Row patch, and make sure to get the GoG .exe file and you'll have an absolute blast! The videos linked below have the files and the patches needed!

So I finally tried this classic and I have to say I finally understand those people who say that Saints Row 2 is the best one in the series.
For a game that came out in 2008 the attention to details is simply amazing. Cool npcs that can do more than just walk and sit. Many nicely made interiors. City full of life, activities and action. For example shootouts between gangs or between gang and police can happen out of nowhere. The graphic showing its age but it is still looking very decent if you ask me. Destructable environment or cool ragdoll physics is also a very nice touch that makes the action very enjoyable. There is even walking button which is something I always appreciate and what is being overlooked in many games. Nothing is more satisfying as walking around like Terminator and killing everything in your path :)
The amount of options and stuff that you can do here it's simply mind blowing. From different sidequests and activities like taxi driving, police jobs, racing and so on to main story quests. You can even buy new hideouts and customize them to your liking. Heck, you can even customize every single piece of clothes you have! Not to mention you can completely customize your character and needless to say, the character creator is also amazing and very detailed. It's like GTA 4 except there's even more of everything. One could call this GTA 4 on steroids.
I only tried playing vanilla version for a while but I had no technical problems and I was even pleasantly surprised that the game has widescreen resolution support. But after a while I installed "Juiced" mod that optimize the game even better and mainly - it allows you to play in coop with friend again! And that's what makes this game 11/10 for me.
Story is fun and more grounded than the SR3 and SR4 that went much more on a silly side. Soundtrack is absolutely top notch and to my knowlendge there are no songs that would be missing because of the copyright issues.
So do yourself a favor and give this game a try cause it's truly amazing. Worth every penny and it gives you many hours of fun. Sometimes it's on sale for 1,5 bucks and for that price it's an absolute steal. This game outright begs for a remaster. Just give it to Nightdive Studios, they know how to make a proper remaster.
It's just sitting money because this game is better than 9 out of 10 open world games that comes out these days and Im not even kidding. They might look better but that's about it. And if they ever make new SR game one day, I hope it will be closer to SR2 format again.

Yes, highly recommend easily a top 3 game of my child hood.
Note: To play the definitive, remastered and high fps version of the game theres ALOT that unfortunately goes into it that most people don't say....
First install Juiced, yes people normally get that part right. Its a must has so many fixes and WORKING MULTIPLAYER! However, EVEN WITH THAT it will still be TERRIBLE FPS. To get truly over 100 FPS also replace the STEAM executable with the GOG executable. THEN install the dxvk patch. THEN go into reloaded.ini enable Better Windowed instead of Borderless and enable Vanilla FX Plus (Optional - but makes the game look way better and more sharp.). Launch the game, it will be buttery smooth, and it will also look better graphically from here you can go to the normal display settings and select High under graphics preset.
BOOM REMASTERED Saints Row 2 at 100+ FPS Enjoy. Ps everything i described can be easily found through Google and YouTube.

GET THE JUICED PATCH!!!
This was the closes GTA competitor that the gaming industry ever had. With it's fan and goofy missions, atmospheric open world and character customization this game was ahead of it's time. Too bad they botched the PC port. Thankfully the fans have took the time to fix this gem.
RIP Mike Watson

Man, they don't make 'em like that anymore. Don't trust the reviews. With the JUICED patch, which is absolutely required, this is a straight up 10/10 videoGAME. Build up your gang, customize every aspect of your character, and claim the city district by dictrict in your OWN way. The story is actually good and doesn't rely on cheap stereotypes or sex references to be forcibly funny. It's a game that does its best to not waste your time and I really apprechiate that. Just straightforward classic fun.

Install the patches from the Late Dev Mike Watson (Rest In Peace), and this runs much better than the original PC port.
Having never played it back in the day, i have to say... This is a solid game, even by today's standard its fun.
Installation guide for all required patches. I have several hours of gameplay, no CTD, no performance issues.
