A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia

This is a much better game than people made it seem form the reviews. If your into the viking age and rise of Anglo-Saxons its great. It has some things done way better than in the older titles but is closer to troy. The governmental system in this is very good and better than troy in some ways but few things that are missing that I liked to see is trading settlements and provinces along with taxing them separately maybe its in there but idk. The units list is not as bad at all as people made it seem very bad and look great. The terrain is good the battle map even has some animals. Battles at the settlemets have settlement features like a mining settlement having a big mine. Attrition is too powerful in my opinion but not terrible and supplies are a great addition to upkeep. Anyways this is a great total war game dont let the comments scare you off.

Total War: Thrones of Britannia is easily my favorite game in the Total War franchise. I know it isn't everyone's top pick, but it absolutely clicked with me.

The setting is what makes it so special. If you're interested in the history of the English kingdoms, the Vikings, and the Scandinavian world, this game does an outstanding job of bringing that era to life. Every campaign feels immersive, and I found myself genuinely invested in the factions and the history behind them.

The modding community deserves a lot of credit as well. There are some fantastic mods that add even more depth, replayability, and historical flavor, making an already great game even better.

I've put countless hours into Thrones of Britannia, and I still find myself coming back to it. For anyone who enjoys early medieval history, especially the struggles between the Anglo-Saxons and the Norse, I can't recommend it enough. It's a hidden gem in the Total War series.

played scottland, got good economy and people were happy.
vikings invaded me, then we got peace.
i teamed up with neighbor for protection.
we including the vikings invaded ireland, got much of north ireland.
civil war broke out when i took north ireland.
i won civil war, almost died.
biggest country northumbria went to war with me.
my country was not in shape for such a war so i left.
10/10 best game ever, recomended for viking nerds.
i wish they could include a bigger map with norway, sweden and denmark in one map.

polished conclusion of Rome 2 TW and Attila engine spanning on blood and rain soaked and contested Dark Ages British Isles..whether you are playing as Welsh, Scottish or Irish factions or Anglo-Saxon kingdoms or Vikings you will surely have fun. And there is also Norman invasion..
Graphics look nice, both on campaign and battle map especially with mods, factions are deep and differentiated with strengths and weaknesses..units reflect their faction..
To conclude this is a nice addition to library of any TW or historical strategy player..

This is the Total War I want this game is great, and at 1500 plus hours you can see how much fun i have had.

Never understood the hate this game got. For me it's my first Total War game and my favourite of the bunch I've played. The artstyle, soundtrack, battles, world map, unit design are all *chefs kiss*.
The world map is smaller than previous TW's but it works perfectly here. The game is more simplified and not overly complex unlike other TW games. If you're into the Viking era you'll love this.

Amazing game, dont listen to bad comments, You just have to put reduce the political difficulty to easy to not have this annoying faction evnts and enjoy !
Battles are epic, the grand compaign is cool
