Cadence
Cadence is something different: a hybrid of game and music sandbox. Understanding how to bring these two worlds together has been a quest 8 years in the making. It’s now finally here for you to enjoy.
How you spend your time with Cadence is up to you. Some people will enjoy relaxing with the game and solving levels. Tinkerers will enjoy fiddling with music in the sandbox. The crazy ones will program things we didn’t even know were possible.Game playYou don’t need a sense of rhythm or a good ear to play Cadence – just your thinking cap and a bit of patience will reward you with gentle zen melodies. Puzzles start simple and build up to complex head-scratchers.Make some noiseIf you’ve tried music production you’ll know it’s intimidating. Cadence’s sandbox mode has been meticulously designed so that "time to first sound" is mere seconds. It doesn’t matter if you’re a composer looking for inspiration or you’ve never made a note of music in your life – Cadence is an entirely new and playful way of interacting with music. Many are better than oneCadence goes deep: underneath the game there’s a Turing complete logic system and a host of music production tools for you to explore. What’s possible with Cadence is an open question.

Probably the most interesting and innovative puzzle game I've played in a long time

This is almost two games in one. For people who find the puzzle aspect fascinating and those who like playing around with music. Originally I drawn to the music creation tool, I have played instruments for a while but never made music, very approachable. It may not be as amazing as a more developed audio software, but the limitations it has makes creating music much easier, due to having less options. The visual appeal of seeing the sounds doing stuff is it's own entertainment, rather than sound waves. The puzzles are definitely able to be done by the average person, still needs some thought on them which is good. Looking forward to the puzzles and music people post on the community workshop. Overall, a fantastic game even if you just want to do the puzzles or dabble in music creation.

This is like those EDM songs with Alan Watts talks layered in
I reached the end with just a few bonus levels left, mostly through trial and error and intuition (positive). It's not a long game in that sense, and I don't have the mind for the sandbox, but it's serene, uplifting, and beautiful
Do check it out

An excellent puzzle game with its own design and mechanics.

I got pleasantly lost in the process, charm, and tunes around solving these puzzles. I came out feeling nourished, as advertised (and probably could have kept playing without end, if time allowed). There is something special here! Give it a go.

I read about an article about this game and immediately peaked my interest. Hello from South Africa! :D Absolutely love it so far. Dabbed a bit in the creation section but realised it might be a spoiler for the main game. However the little i did do there is smashing away my patience. Cant wait to get creative.
Thanks for the amazing game and your hard work developer! Thanks to Julu as well :)

This game is incredibly cute and wholesome. It strikes the perfect balance between light strategy and a calming, cozy atmosphere, with a lovely touch of life advice woven in. Being able to pet the cats is such a sweet bonus, and the music is an absolute vibe. I cannot wait to finish this game!
