Игра '逢魔之時' — это атмосферная и затягивающая хоррор-игра с видом сверху, погружающая в мрачную японскую мифологию. Визуальный стиль, выполненный в приглушенных тонах и с зернистостью, прекрасно передает чувство тревоги и безысходности, идеально подходящее для сеттинга. Сюжет, повествующий о девушке, ищущей свою пропавшую сестру в странном и опасном городе, держит в напряжении от начала и до конца.
Геймплей представляет собой сочетание исследования, решения головоломок и сражений с жуткими ёкаями. Боевая система проста, но эффективна, требуя от игрока тактического мышления и использования окружения в свою пользу. Головоломки, хоть и не самые сложные, органично вплетены в сюжет и атмосферу.
Особо стоит отметить звуковое сопровождение. Скрипящие доски, жуткие шепоты и тревожная музыка создают неповторимую атмосферу страха и неизвестности. Несмотря на пиксельную графику, игра умудряется напугать и заставить игрока сопереживать главной героине. Рекомендую всем любителям хорроров и японской мифологии.
