My total playtime was 2 hours 39 minutes, I think closer to an hour and a half - 2 hours because I was on my phone for a bit while playing.
This was a charming game. Lots of love and soul put into it. It introduces you to new mechanics, levels, enemies etc. at a breakneck speed so you are engaged throughout. It also has a unique personality. The only issues I had were the sometimes uneven visuals - ugly pixel art contrasted with really good looking art which happened on a few levels. I also thought there were some frustrating parts, but the checkpoint system is so generous it was never an issue.
In short: If you are looking for a 2-3 hour fun 2D platformer, this game comes highly recommenced. $5 is a fair price for this game.

This is a wonderful little game! It has a nice story with twists and turns I never expected! It's got some interesting and fun game mechanics and while some levels and boss fights are difficult, they are not annoyingly so. Try, try again and you WILL get past them! I love the art style, the play style, the music, the sounds, everything! 10/10 fantastic game!
NOTE: My first playthrough was 98 minutes long, however Steam bugged out and wouldn't let me write a review because it thought I had only a minute of playtime. However, that is Steam's fault and not a fault of the game. I decided, after restarting Steam, to play through the whole game again and it was pleasantly still fun! Yes, I breezed past all the levels this time but it was still very fun the second time through! I even got 2 more paintings this time bringing the total up to 14/16 as opposed to my 12/16 first-time playing.
