Beholder: Conductor
Welcome aboard the Determination Bringer!
You have been appointed senior conductor of the legendary train, which all the citizens of our vast country are happy to see in their cities. Your responsibilities are maintaining order in the carriage assigned to you and providing assistance to passengers along the way. Your tools are reporting, intimidation, searches and ejection. Remember: the conductor is always right.
Monitor the passengers
Carefully monitor everyone who enters the carriage and decide what to do with fare-evaders. Observe and report all suspicious, unauthorized and basically any passenger activity. Search the baggage and call the police if you find prohibited items.
Move up the train
Get access to the dining car or VIP compartments and carriages where high-ranking officials and big industrialists ride. Keep an eye on your colleagues and report their accepting bribes or transporting banned goods. The Ministry will not let your dedication go unnoticed.
Complete secret missions
Earn the trust of higher-ups in order to receive special assignments. Their level of secrecy will depend on your loyalty, and completion will be rewarded with a bonus or even a promotion. You will also encounter smugglers — transporting their packages along the route is risky, but profitable.
Visit various stations and remote corners of the country. Make difficult decisions determining the fate of passengers and your colleagues. What kind of person will you be at the end of the journey? The choice is yours!

Came for the one cutscene, stayed for the great OST, engaging gameplay, detailed pixel art, and the intriguing story.

Great game, really fun, love the train setting, and I wanted more of it. I hope there will be a Beholder Conductor 2 which is longer and more involved than this one with more choices, because it would be a shame if the devs abandonded this style of game (artstyle, point and clikc etc.).
PS. Michelle the goat, rip Emma Hazer from beholder 2 you've lost your status (I didn't get AIDS from Michelle).

Amazing game, love the story and the atmosphere of the game. Should add an option to move around using WASD though!

great game!
-story 9/10: seeing all the foreshadowing in my 2nd playtrough was great.
-twists 10/10: decisions matter, a lot, your actions have consequences, who knows? a casual chat with an old lady may end up saving your life.
characters 8/10: most if not all characters have an interesting story to tell.
-replayable 5/10: its a short game but still long enough to make it tedious when replaying it for the achievements or endings since you have to click to advance the dialogue, loading a previous autosave is possible tho.
-SEX: yes.
its one of those games that makes you want to erase your memory to experience it all over again.

One of the most succesfull game of Beholder series and i really enjoyed it
The story and gameplay is similar to the first Beholder game - you are a conductor Winston Smith on a train called Determination Bringer, which duty is to follow orders from above, providing comfort and monitoring people's behavior, sometimes exposing and reporting them for commiting unlawful acts against the state, it's people and The Wise Leader. Just like in Beholder, to settle the passengers in their room(coupe), you buy it and proceed with decorating it, which is new. There are none surveillance cameras so in order to gather information about passengers you have to peep through the keyholes or search through their stuff. To not get caught by passengers while searching their luggage for contraband, you have to put everything back in order otherwise you will get fined.
The music sets a tone of a totalitarian regime fueled by war and propaganda, where every person is watched and have equal rights, but some of them are more equal than the others. The music changes depending on the situation, being calm and sometimes jazzy when nothing happens and intensifies when arresting someone or looking through someone's luggage, while trying to not get caught. However in the late game the mood changes with the music, you are no rookie anymore, you've seen everything - from thievery and bribing, to uncovering conspiracies and the government secrets, revealing it's dark side. This is the end of the line, where you have to make a choice, which will decide the fate of the protagonist and the rest of the fictional world of Beholder Conductor.
I really like pixelated style of the game, this is new, the design of characters looks good, the scenery that always changes after passing stations, everything smooth, and it is the second time the developers has made something unique (in Beholder 2 every person and every object 3d modelled, while Beholder, Blissful sleep and Beholder 3 has it's original style)
Must try If you're a fan of Papers Please, already played Beholder, Beholder 2 or Beholder 3 or ever heard of the concept of dystopia

Beholder: Conductor is a spin off from beholder series. Managing a train while secretly spying on passengers feels thrilling and constantly keeps you on edge. The moral choices hit hard, the consequences matter, and each decision leaves you curious about what might unfold next. Although the pacing slows down at times, the dark atmosphere and strong narrative make it hard to walk away. Overall, it’s a satisfying experience for fans of stealth and moral dilemmas. 8.5/10
