WOWOWOW KORONE BOX is a fanmade hololive top-down shooter featuring Inugami Korone, member of hololive GAMERS! Collect Korone Boxes to increase your score and equip random weapons, while fending off ever-increasing numbers of enemies and various bosses. Take one hit and it’s game over, so exercise your dodging skills to the limit! More weapons can be unlocked by collecting more boxes in total or reaching higher scores! All the while, jam out to arrangements of various official and fanmade tunes.

This game is honestly a masterpiece like it might be peak gaming. I honestly think Korone is the love of my life so a game where I can walk around and shoot things as her fulfills my every need. The character development in this game is absolutely unrivaled the only game that could compare to this in story and character development is Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, but that's besides the point. In conclusion this wonderful game is a life changing masterpiece to which nothing could compare.

The game is free. It's all luck based. You pick up random weapons to progress, and sometime you are stuck with a weapon that is objectively bad to fight the boss.

A highly addictive, if at times frustrating, shoot 'em up game where you advances the stage by collecting boxes, gaining a new weapon in the process (which you have no control over), & reaching a boss fight for every twelfth box you collect.
While all weapons have their strength, a bad match-up between the weapon you end up with & the boss can be quite frustrating. This can be especially so if you aim to unlock all the achievements & end up with a bad match-up many boxes in. That being said, the fundamental gameplay mechanic of the game is solid, the art adorable, the references charming (even if you don't get it), & the BGMs catchy. Some slight improvements to the mechanic, e.g. allowing you to keep a roster of two weapons instead of one, being able to ban one or two weapons, etc, can go a long way. Even as it is, however, this is a very solid (free!) game.

Its fun for a few hours, and its free so you cant really go wrong.
My only complaint is the difficulty of the bosses completely depends on what weapon you have and where they spawn. I think if boxes continued to spawn while a boss was active on the floor the game would be perfect. Not that every weapon needs to be equal in strength, it just isnt fun trying to use the handmine to kill a boss that is constantly spewing bullets out. Especially in hard mode where they will most likely be surrounded by like 10+ enemies also spraying bullets everywhere.

WOWOWOW KORONE BOX is a free little twin-stick shooter that fulfills both of these intrinsic human needs, with three different stages of varying difficulty to play in and enough variety in weapons and enemies to keep you occupied for a few hours. Collect boxes to earn points and swap out your weapon for a random one, and fight a diverse array of challenging bullet hell-esque bosses. The controls feel a tiny bit stiff and the weapon balance is a bit off, with some being insanely overpowered and others being utterly useless - which can be frustrating at times - but it's a short, free experience, so one can't complain too much.
