Android is a 2D platformer very similar to Brøderbund’s classic Lode Runner.
The goal is to guide an android around each level, collecting every bag of gold on the screen while avoiding roving enemies and collecting bonus fruit. As with Lode Runner, gameplay involves running, climbing, hanging, and dropping bombs in order to dig holes or trap enemies.

Android is one of many Flash-based indie games that were introduced at online galleries such as Newgrounds. However, this Steam version improves upon its web-based counterpart with a feature that keeps track of the stages that players have completed.
Which begs the question - is it worth its (current) purchase price? Somewhat.
While it has its quirks and annoyances here and there, this platform-based puzzle game still provides some satisfaction for completing each level. The controls are responsive and the stage tracker allows the game to be played in short bursts (ie during coffee breaks).
If you enjoyed the online original and its sequel and would like to support the developer, by all means, buy it. Otherwise, I would wait until he/she adds a couple more features like a level editor and a way to rebind the available commands to other keys.
It is a 'flawed gem' that, while enjoyable, could use a little more polish.
