Story
Second half of XX century. After months of successful researches and expeditions, William Conway is ready to share with the scientific world not only the fascinating Teleportation technology he discovered, but also a completely new world this invention leads to.
With his loyal companions, William prepared a safe area amid the vast alien lands. Now he needed to check everything one last time, and write a good speech. This place may not be perfect: everything creaks, sparkles, and there’s no hot water, but how could such a thing stop a true pioneer?
This new world keeps its secrets under layers of different mist, full of unknown creatures and mysteries to solve.
Giving a last look from observation deck, Conway could not expect what a journey lies ahead. Once shared his blood with this world, William starts an ancient ritual. Your blood has power here, but Blood Magic always attracts creatures even more dangerous than local monsters — you have to finish what you started until it is too late, there is no other way… Is it?

I almost gave this game a negative review. I experienced several bugs during my playthrough and one of them was game-breaking as the red cube suddenly disappeared after teleporting to the base camp so I had to quit the game and restart. Unfortunately for me, the auto-save did not save a big chunk of my progress, which included just beating the huge boss fight (which was just a lot of spiders and some huge patrolling enemies that added into the fray).
The devs call this game an action adventure open world game for VR. I would call it a walking simulator with a lot of backtracking. And while most good walking simulators are narrative driven experiences, this is pretty light on the story. It just has a few texts and some very short voiced dialogues. That's a shame because this game had a nice setup to a story and also great atmosphere. It has this weird, trippy, horror vibe and tension throughout.
It has full locomotion with snap turning with teleport & comfort options. It also has several graphic and sound options. However, the graphics are very muddy and the game has poor lighting. There's clipping issues throughout. You'll go through several objects, as well as the spiders.
The puzzles are simple (plugging in the cord on the generator simple) and the interactions are basic and poor overall. The shooting is also simple and poorly implemented with bad hit boxes on enemies and bullets that travel very slowly. It's not only not fun to shoot the spiders, it's very repetitive. The spiders will run, crawl, & jump right at you. The first time you pull one off your face is fun, but by the tenth time it is old hat.
To top it off, the game ends rather abruptly. Whole thing took me a little over 3 hours, but that was with dealing with all the bugs and losing a big chunk of my progress. It really left a sour taste in my mouth.
Rate 5/10. Buy on deep, deep sale only after it's been updated even more.

Experience a Nevrosa adventure just how it should be in VR, gaze at all these unique plants & creatures while you explore, solve puzzles & most important defend yourself from the threads in this special world.

I enjoyed just walking through the world and looking at the environment and creatures. Also, there's a good story and puzzles. Farming creature souls can get a bit grindy, but the game isn't too long, so it's okay. I like that I can freely walk around and shoot stuff. I hope we'll get more open world Nevrosa games like this.
If anyone's interested, I uploaded a playthrough video to YT.

Liked previous Nevrosa games thats great you guys made a long one now. There are not so many open world games in VR its always good to have the new one! Very impressive visual style, hope there will be more interactions with surroundings in the future.

If you have played or enjoyed any of the other Nevrosa games you should find this one well worth a look. While this one is a lot buggier than the rest I still found the graphics and storyline carry it along, always leaving you wanting to know how the story progresses. There is a much lager lean into the adventure side of things with this game and you will be doing a lot of walking about and backtracking, but I kind of like that about this game more than the others. The whole game took me about 4 hours to finish, but I am a scaredy-cat so some of the darker parts of the game I slowed to a crawl, which means other people might finish it sooner than that. I just feel the £15.49 current asking price is a touch too high, even getting a third off that price should leave you feeling pretty satisfied with your purchase.

Needs a few more updates to be a really solid game. Low points that need work:
- enemy ai and placement, sometimes it felt too artificial and enemies had very simple attack logic
- faster normal walk or add a run
- fix the various problems with the meele weapons
- needs better quest system

I really like this game other than being a little pricey. Great graphics, good story line (needs a story log btw). I also like the fact it is a long game to complete, very much a plus. It can be grindy sometimes. Kudos to the devs!
