This is a really fun game.
Your starting character is a sword and board wielding hero. He can block, dodge and parry. He can also slash and throw his shield. All of the actions I just mentioned are intuitive, fun, and have impact. So, what do you do in this game? Well, you clear the mist by activating crystals.
You have a combo meter. The higher it goes, the faster you attack. You can mash normal attacks for a second, then jump normal attack. Or you can normal, normal, special. It's nothing too complex but it encourages you to use everything you've got, and as your run evolves, you'll want to.
This is not an open world game, but the maps (that are randomly generated) are just big open areas. As you wander around and kill enemies, you get Spirit Orbs. Once you fill your Spirit Orb bar up (2-5 mobs), you can activate a crystal. First of all, the crystals are highlighted by waypoints telling you how close you are to them, and where they are. If that fails, press M, and a map of the area opens up. So anybody who's like me and gets lost easily, have no fear! You can still explore the map, because it contains treasure chests that are unmarked, but you can do so while always knowing how to get to where you're going.
So what do these crystals do? Well, they clear the mist (in a radius, with the total % of cleared showing on the right hand side). The benefit of this is that you move faster and take less damage. The other, and, major benefit of this is that each crystal you activate will give you something. There are powers in this game, which are mostly passive abilities. For example, the last slash of my basic combo got imbued with lightning. I then found an altar that gave me ice powers, and by looking at the helpful tooltip and noticing that there is a synergy, I became an unstoppable lightning/ice slasher. Some synergies weaken, some fit perfectly, and the crystals are always random. Cool.
There are also weapon seals that do simple things like +% to normal/special, and complicated things like "your normal attack changes to one slash, +33% attack speed". Obviously, I took that, since the last attack of my normal combo activated the lightning/ice thing I had going on. It worked as described. Awesome.
For active abilities, anything you defeat has a chance to drop a 1-3 time use item. My favorite thing in the world is chucking a potion at a big enemy and turning them into a helpless chicken. Of course before I realized I could do that, I chucked it at myself to see what it did, and sure enough, I was a useless little chicken wondering if I broke my game. (I didn't, you transform back within about 15-30 seconds. xD)
Meta progression here involves leveling up (by playing runs, win or lose). Crystals get you characters (I have only the first 2 unlocked so far). Talent points, earned 1 per level, unlock base stats. This game is skill based enough with clear enemy tells that the "grind" doesn't NEED to happen, but if you like it, it's there.
Before each run, you can unlock power ups at random that will only last for that run using crystals. That is unless you'd rather level up, get a new character or go to the cosmetic shop. This is an in game shop using in game crystals, by the way. It has some really cool, really goofy and just generally neat cosmetics for your character. I'm not a cosmetic type of person, but some of them got a chuckle out of me while I scrolled through and looked.
There are at least 2 systems and a difficulty modifier I can't talk about because, well, I'm not at the required level to interact with those features yet.
In case you couldn't tell, I like this game. I think the satisfying combat and the simplicity of the depth (if that makes sense) that is here rewards my time while teaching me (synergies, enemy patterns, attacks). It pushes me to play better in fun ways that don't feel forced or artificial. And I don't see a reason to ask for more than that. Highly recommend.

Hello! I've decided to give some feedback to this beautiful game. This game is tons of fun !You have so many builds that you can do (poison, fire, ice, electricity) , you have different character which they have their own movement and abilities. It's fun to do co-op with friends and spend some time collecting diamonds(currency) to buy yourself some fashion items for character or clothes.
As people said this game is very short and you can finish it pretty quick and it gets repetetive since you can't continue run with build you made but instead u get send back to base. You have harder difficulties but with a proper build even these aren't a real challange.
With difficulty being harder only means enemy will have more hp/shield around them but everything else stays literally same. If this game had new areas, new bosses and more modes/characters it would been so much better!
Overall I've enjoyed the game it is very unique, chill and fun to play! I would rate it 6.5/10 and only reason why I can't go higher at this moment because it is lacking content, new areas, bosses and something to push towards/have a goal.

Feedback Notes:
Things that need fixing:
Audio Balancing: The music, and SFX need balancing. It is really loud at times even when I have lowered both the master volume, music and SFX. I would really notice this when making a party as that area was really loud up until in the game.
The map where there is flashing: As someone who is photosensitive it was very unexpected and in some parts of the map it wasn’t too bad but then suddenly it was really bad for me. However the lightning powers are ok. If possible in the future would there be a toggle for there to turn off lightning?
FPS and Character off screen: As I was streaming at the time I had some personal lag problems but my husband didn’t but he wasn't streaming and at one point i had to just stand there until it stopped but then my character was off camera at the bottom of the screen. This did however fix itself on the next map.
Controller: I was unable to use my PS5 controller. Is it supported? If not I will try with my xbox controller as my husband was able to play with his. Not a major issue but something I thought about as I had to play with mouse and keyboard and it was hard for me as someone who is disabled.
Spelling, Grammar and Translations: I did notice a couple of spelling and grammar mistakes, not many but I did notice them as someone who is dyslexic I did pick up on these. Also noticed some parts of the game had not been translated into English.
Bunny Top Hat Symbol: one one of the maps there was a bunny in a top hat randomly we could both see it and I’m guessing it was not supposed to be there?
What I really liked in game:
The Customisation: The outfits and other cosmetics for the characters I have unlocked are great. I haven't bought any yet though.
The Skill Trees: Skill trees are great. I just wish it didn't use the blue gems as well. I understand using them for cosmetics and character unlocks but if we could just use the one “currency”
The Map Differences: It was great the different maps in the game which include; different sizes, colour palettes, full of mobs and the mist stones are nicely spread out and early to find.
Boss Fights: THEY ARE GREAT! Honestly each of the boss fights so far have been great fun and remind me of raids/dungeons in other games I play. I can’t wait to play more and beat more bosses!
What I didn’t like but could be fixed:
No Invulnerability when brought back to life: I did die a few times and instantly get hit if there is a way to have a small timer to be invulnerable for 5 seconds at most for example to prevent getting instantly attacked. As it was frustrating to get revived during a boss battle and instantly get 40HP taken off me
Zooming Out: I wasn’t able to zoom out as much as I would have liked, as I play MMOs like Final Fantasy XIV Online and I do raid a lot in that game. I would have loved to have been able to zoom out of my character a bit more. As I couldn't see some of the mechanics during the boss fights it made it a bit difficult to see but not unplayable.

If you want to spend a pleasant afternoon with your friends, then you can try this game. In the game the player will take on the role of a brave man from another world to dispel the evil mists of this world. There is a detailed tutorial at the beginning and the hint signs are clear and eye-catching, so you don't have to worry about getting lost. The operation buttons are not complicated, but at the same time take into account the combination between the skills, so that novices can quickly master the operation at the same time, but also feel the fun brought by the game. The randomness brought by the "Rogue" element inside can make players feel fresh every time they enter the game. The talent system is complete, with multiple options to choose from, requiring players to think carefully, and the combination will have a magical effect when it fits. If you're looking to be a solo player, the experience will be just as memorable. It's normal to be stymied at the beginning of the game, and you'll need to level up as quickly as possible to unlock a lot of content to arm your character with. The game continues to be updated at the moment, so hopefully it will get better and better!

Mist Slayer is a good HACK & SLASHER RPG styled Game! The gameplay is fast paced, with good sound/effects that add to overall value. I will surely provide hours of game time, and even replay ability. While the game price point is a bit high, it isn't bad. If your interested, I would watch this one for a sale! Also note that the TEXT that pops up on screen can be rather annoying at times, however you do adjust to that issue rather quickly.

Written By Hidden Gems Review :
Mist Slayer is a Action Roguelite game.
I dare to say this game it's the roguelite version of genshin impact because the gameplay on the attacks and the movement pattern are the same mostly.
But still it's a good game fun to play with different biomas and enemies, I wish will be more classes but the variety of builds make the game very enjoyable.
Don't have the best price but the replay value is pretty high.
