haiku the robot is, in my opinion, the best metroidvania since hollow knight. it's the only game i've encountered so far with the same type of nonlinearity, which should be enough for you to play this on it's own. you've seen how good the graphics are already, and the combat isn't quite as smooth as hollow knight, but my main criticism of haiku is the length. my full, almost 100% playthrough clocked in at under 10 hours, which isn't a lot, especially considering the price. i should mention though, those were some of the longest hours in my life, and i mean that in the best way possible.

A pretty fun metroidvania. I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys the genre. Pretty short as well and not too difficult to 100%. I enjoyed the world and the robots, all of them seemed pretty endearing. Played it on the long wait for Silksong. It scratched the itch for a while.

Fun, concise little metroidvania. I have to admit, the initial 2-3 hours did not leave the greatest impression on me, the close-relation to Hollow Knight is very evident from the get-go and didn't inspire much confidence, but I pushed on due to a friend's recommendation, and I'm glad I did! This game was a delight, and I especially loved the late-game areas/exploration. Nothing groundbreaking, but the basics here are done well.

Very solid 'Vania. Wears its Hollow Knight and Metroid inspiration on its sleeve but is still very much its own thing. Great atmosphere and well-balanced difficulty. My only complaint is there was a bit much backtracking and while there is a fast travel system, it's points are spread a bit too far apart.
Big recommend for fans of the genre.

Very fun bite-sized Hollow Knight light, with a more casually tuned difficulty than Hollow Knight, which it was very obviously inspired by. Highly recommend to fans of the genre looking for something that isn't to demanding.

This game is basically a Hollow Knight-like, sometimes maybe even a bit too much?. I enjoyed it, regardless.

The game is good. The platforming is good and the enemies aren't too BS heavy. The world is great, the MC is cute, and the lore is worth diving into. It is definitely no Hollow Knight or Ori, but it is good in its own right
This game was quite easy, and it's because all enemies do 1 damage and you have access to easy heals so long as you have spare parts. If you find it too easy, the achievement for beating the game without getting a wrench (the very first thing you pick up) will provide that challenge. I know because I'm playing through it now and it's a very big shift into git gud territory since HP loss is permanent until you get the auto heal chip
Speaking of achievements, you can get 39 of the 40 achievements in 2 playthroughs if you 100% it in the first. The 40th is the aforementioned beating it without the wrench. This is nice overall because too many games have achievements that amount to you playing through the game like 5 times.
The Negatives: I have run into input issues a few times when it comes to swinging, which makes comboing (air juggling) difficult at times. That's really the only complaint
This will definitely scratch that metroidvania itch
