Kaiju Big Battel: Fighto Fantasy
Kaiju Big Battel: Fighto Fantasy is 16-bit styled RPG featuring turn-based combat, plenty of exploration, and a funky soundtrack to pump you up. This is an officially licensed game based on the live-action monster wrestling group Kaiju Big Battel, who have been performing their Godzilla-meets-WWE act for over 20 years.
Designed for Kaiju fans and newcomers alike, Fighto Fantasy takes players on a quest across time and space as they work to undo damage caused by the evil Dr. Cube as he rampages through history in search of fame and glory. With seven main playable heroes (and a secret one to unlock), players explore six time periods and punch out dozens of deadly monsters.
All the world is watching as the Kaiju Big Battel Title Fight is about to begin: The diabolical Dr. Cube vs. the patriotic pugilist, American Beetle! Things take a sudden turn when Cube pulls out a secret weapon that rips open portals into history. Now it’s up to the Kaiju Heroes to pursue Cube across the centuries, from Egypt to Rome to Russia and beyond! Is the mad doctor pursuing dangerous artifacts lost to time, or does he just want to deface famous landmarks with his own ugly mug?
⚫ Combat: No random encounters here; touch enemy NPCs on the map to trigger turn-based battles. Each of the seven main heroes has their own strengths and weaknesses.
⚫ Side stories: When you’re not chasing Dr. Cube through time, take a minute to help out some locals. Slay a musclebound mummy, rescue lost Kaiju heroes, adopt cats!
⚫ Map abilities: Each hero has a unique ability to interact with environmental objects, unlocking hidden paths and secret treasures.
⚫ Difficulty selection: Easy Mode for a relaxed experience, Normal Mode for players who want some tense fights, and Hard Mode for players looking for more deadly dangers.
⚫ 12+ hours of RPG adventure.
⚫ Future expansions will be released as free updates; no paid DLC here!

I never saw myself falling in love with a crew of time traveling wrestlers, but it happened & I regret nothing.
This is the definition of a hidden gem. There's no other turn based RPG in existence quite like this. It has so much charm & love put in it, memorable characters, solid dialogue, good length, well paced, though I didn't want it to end. Some of the most fun I've ever had with a JRPG.

As someone who hasn't watched much of Kajiu Big Battel, this game is still a fun, if bizarre, adventure. For example, one minute you're talking to a goth Cleopatra in ancient Egypt, another minute a robot's having an existential crisis. The game is a turn based RPG, so for those not used to that genre, or are rusty like I am, I recommend the easiest difficulty first. Either way, you can change the difficulty at checkpoints/menus. This is one hell of a Fighto Fantasy. Good luck!

Going into this, I'm not overly familiar with Kaiju Big Battel beyond concept. It's zany, it's definitely weird, and it's macho. It feels like something out of a totally different time period. You think of Power Rangers style wrestling and something totally different comes to mind before you even play. Once you sink into the game you get a sense for what Super Walrus Games wants to do with something that they clearly love. They want to take these monsters on an epic journey and just have fun with them. There's a lot of passion here, a lot of buddy-bromance type energy, and healthy friendships. Aside from Chicken Noodle, these are really good dudes and you get that from front to back. Like most super hero type franchises, the bad guy usually is the most interesting character, and that's very true here, Cube is evil for evil sake. His seemingly random plan is calculated more than you think, and seeing it come together is actually funny in it's own right. Each hero has their own moveset and can create synergy within the group differently which adds for some replay value. The game's not without it's faults, as some areas are definitely stronger than others. Each stage kind of takes it's own chance and tries something different and I think that's largely why I feel that way. I personally preferred Russia and Boston the most of the six areas. It took me about 10 hours to complete the game doing maybe half the side content, so for about a dollar an hour you can have a pretty fun time, get a few laughs and have a pretty fun time.

This is another obscure RPG made with O.H.R.RPG.C.E, it's quite simple and easy. You take on the role of these strange but charming monsters who travel through different periods in time to thwart Dr. Cube's evil plans as he changes the course of history! Every character has their own abilities and skills, making them unique. There are a few juicy secrets hidden around the game, and slight references to Walthros (Bob in Doodle Land), C.Kane (He is in the Abyss Arena) and Bufada (one of Robox's computer puzzles). The game has great balance, the art style is cute and fun as well. A huge perk in this is you'll NEVER have to grind! It was too easy for me, but if you have younger siblings or a friend who likes Kaiju, or if you are new to RPG's then I'd recommend this to them. 8/10

A truly unique RPG that stands out from everyone else with wild characters, great art direction, fun soundtrack and a sense of humor. Worth buying for any RPG fan.
P.S. I hope a sequel is made in the future.
