Reviewing every game I have 100% completed: #37
Barro is a neat little racing game that is pretty entertaining for the ~30 minutes of content it provides. The AI are too easy to pose a real threat of beating you, but going around the track trying to beat your best time is fun, and I like the matchbox car style that the game has going on.

Came and bought this whole Barro series in a massive bundle after seeing Sepi's review of the series on YouTube.
Played this game for exactly 46 minutes and unlocked all achievements.
It gave me all these pointless achievements for absolutely no reason....
It even gave me the race win achievements no matter my position in the race.
But that's okay, because after finding the first person view and the mirror and turning them on, the game was fu... oh who am I kidding it still sucked.
All the positive reviews on this game must be from people totally taking the piss...
... and my review is no different.
Top game SC Jogos, 100% (give or take 99%)
Now i've gotta play the rest of the series. Oh joy....

Cute little game, not sure how it made its way into my library.
It is a simple racing game which reminds me of freeware games from early 2000s. The basics are solid - the physics are arcade-like and fun, collision detection works flawlessly and the result is a game with lots of potential to be fun - which might be possible to fulfill if the developers put more effort into the game.
I wish the game was slightly more challenging, though - the racetracks are, at least in my opinion, very easy to drive through, and the AI drivers are very easy to outmanuever. The user interface would benefit from more text-based explanations rather than pictograms, as well.

I think this is the first game in the Barro "series". Which is a series of the same one game with different samey tracks and different models of cars. So, basically, playing it is no different from any other expensive yearly racing franchise. Or maybe you can even say Barro is more varied. One game it's trucks, another it's sport-cars.
This is a minimalist arcade low-poly racing game with toy-like cars. And these ones don't look that interesting, compared to 22. The models are very simple so the author decided to add decorations as far as his artistic taste is capable. And it was not capable of much. The childish decals are the worst part of these models, so the dune buggy is the best-looking car on offer.
Unlike the big aimless grindathon racing games created for people with special mindset, in this game you complete every track once, get every achievement, spend barely a couple of hours, and feel like you got everything you wanted from it.
This one is also an achievement farm, showering you with pointless pop-ups for just launching the game. But unlike the proper achievement farms it also wants you to complete the game and try its different options.
You pick your car, a colour, the race settings like weather and the time of day, a number of laps and opponents, pick a map and just ride. Though with ultra-simplification with pictograms it's unclear what do they mean.
All achievements are working, you can get everything in about two hours.
This game is exactly how it is advertised on the store page, "Choose your little car and race!" If you want to have a small short simple no-frills bare-bones core arcade racing game, that you can play and complete — here it is.
Cars? Tracks? Weather options? You want it? It's yours my friend! As long as you have enough somaliland shillings!

If you don't mind playing a basic racing game with basic graphics, basic options, very forgiving controls, and achievements to earn, then I recommend buying all the racing games in the bundle when it's on sale. And yes, this review is copy and paste, like the items needed to make this game, but I still recommend it.
