Cats Hidden in Japan

The Cats Hidden series has been out for a while and this latest episode takes us to Japan. Now, finding 100 cats is not difficult, at all, but this series applies a gameplay approach without any hints. The theme song is usually the same - here, we have it slightly modified with Japanese characteristics.
I remembered a new feature from past game, the colour mode, which we get after completion. Then we can replay the level this way which I think is a bit more challenging than just searching in the monochrome environment. One thing that I haven't noticed (or it is a completely new feature) is the list of items we can interact with. The list can be looked at in the main menu - it's fun looking for these items when we start afresh to see what animation we get or e.g. different songs are being played in case of a radio.

Such a well put together and well done game ! I really liked the art/scenery of Japan in here especially once you find all 100 cats. It unlocks & turns the hand drawn artwork into a gorgeous almost like art piece, which I was shocked by but really appreciated !
It did take me around 2 hours and switching between the light and dark modes to be able to find all 100 of the cats as it is definitely a challenge and where the cats are placed are quite clever. I have other games from Travellin cats in my library and this one was for sure unique and different.
Can give this a thumbs up. And looking forward to their next release of hidden cats around the world 2 !

Hidden cats in the Land of the Rising Sun
Another charming Hidden Cats game by TC. The artwork is cute, not diving into clichés like ninjas and samurais, and the music is relaxing.
There is more music this time as part of an easter egg, too.
New to this game is also a Vault mode, which shows all interactive elements and marks those that you have found.
Fun game for little money, get it!

Overall Experience
Travellin Cats is back with another adventure, this time in Japan. I am honestly impressed with the amount of settings this game offers for a simple seek & find game that some higher end games fail to provide.
The map is static for the most part with some animations here and there (easter eggs) and some of the things you find in the map besides the cats do make unique sounds. This game also does not penalize you for using hints or crazy clicking. Hints don’t kick in however until you are down to the last few cats to find (10 left).
A great game for everyone to enjoy for some kitty fun. 🐈

very big map, not too easy, not too hard. Perfect Balance !

I liked the artwork a lot, check out the color mode once you find all the cats! Seems to be more on the challenging side for these games but I still finished in about 25 minutes. Still a fun diversion and well worth it on sale for .49 cents! If the dev reads this please add trading cards!
