Exactly what I needed after binge watching Tanks For Nuthin videos. Hopefully they add shrimp and snails so we can make bio tanks.
Also warning, this game is not a "leave it in the background while you do other things" experience. I set up a nice tank, walked away for 3 hours, and returned to complete D E C I M A T I O N. This is not problem with the game (I actually prefer that you need to stay on top of things) just don't be me.

I definitely recommend this simulator. It's very enjoyable to see what you can create, and the controls are not all that difficult to get used to. These guys look pretty good up close. Some games, the fish just don't look right. I like how they look in here, for the most part. Some fish aren't as I expected them. I'm not sure how accurate some of the fish designs are, either. Some, I've never heard of.
It's extremely relaxed. You could set up a tank and record your screen afterwards to get a nice little screensaver with your favorite fishes!
There's things you can unlock. It keeps it a bit interesting. If you're looking for a challenge, you may want to check other fish games. This one is really chill. Laid back and attractive. Fun to experiment with designs. Sadly, if you want something another size, you have to find it as another size (unless I just can't find it).
I can't believe I've enjoyed this for 79 hours and didn't share my opinion. Oops.
Multiple tanks. With time, more varieties. I guess there's a bit of a challenge there. I had not thought of it as one since it's so laid back, and the sounds are enjoyable.
If there is a music setting, I likely turned it off because I game and watch tv/listen to music. ^.^
I probably got this one on sale. It's a great simulation for aquarium/fish lovers.
Though I recommend it, please read other reviews. If you're even more picky, maybe even check the threads/discussions, and updates section. :)
Have fun!

I am in LOVE with this game. Please consider adding shrimps and snails, my life will be complete. Are saltwater fish planned for the future? 9/10 (10/10 if I could pet the fish)
For people wanting to know, this is a fantastically made aquarium simulator very obviously made by people who adore the hobby. There's a surprising enough of depth and variety of fish and plants to play with!

Game is very ambitious, however I personally just found it was not for me. I am not a fan of the whole store based system, the fact that you have to open stores and hope they will have something you want is very annoying; a sandbox mode where everything is available would be much more enjoyable. I also found the selection of fish/randomly generated items was also a little frustrating, again highlighting the need for sandbox for people who just want to scroll through items and build a tank without the luck aspect of searching shops. At this stage of the game, I get that it is not perfect, but the lack of variety and general inconsistency made me struggle to fully appreciate the game.
I would be hesitant to recommend at this stage, but then again not everyone will like every game "One mans trash is another mans treasure."
P.S. By inconsistency I mean the fact that some things within stores never change, while others will only appear once in a blue moon. To repeat, this does annoy me as I typically like creating without consequence were I can have free rein to build and not be disrupted by the generation of items/fish within the stores.

So far this is the best aquascaping game I've found, like by a mile. It's easy to get going immediately, the controls are intuitive. The fish act real and are very cute. The plants act real, like they ACT REAL, it's wild. I had a tank crash today and watching it recover is like watching real plants recover. You can zoom in super small and see tiny sprouts coming back up amongst the dead leaves. And everything looks so good at that scale, they really put work into the graphics. So cool. You can turn off death and destabilization, but I haven't tried yet because having to keep everything happy is part of what makes planted tanks so fun and interesting, and they've really captured that.
PS would love to see shrimp
