In the ancient far Eastern country of Zipang, a storm is brewing. The country enjoys a period of peace and its unique culture flourishes thanks to the isolationism imposed by the great Ancient Hero, Yamato Takeru. But the heart of one lone hero, Masamune Date, burns with the fire of ambition in this seemingly content land. After coming across an young man, void of all his memories, on the shores of Zipang, she puts her plans in motion to challenge to Takeru. Should they succeed, they will force open the country’s borders and begin an epic adventure filled with exotic lands, fierce battles, and new conquests!

Eiyu Senki Gold is like Eiyu Senki 1.5. The game is not a sequel to the original, but more of an alternative retelling with the same cast of characters. I recommend starting with the original first.
Good:
+ Extensive character roster pool with wide range of designs (Knights of Round, Lu Bu, Siegfield, Napoleon are among my favorites)
+ Lots of content (sidequests/optional missions can add ~30+ hr to the main story which is about ~30 hr)
+ High Replay-ability due to new game plus and route branching
+ More a light-heart comedic harem adventure versus a realistic world conquest adventure
+ Lots of creative and fun scenes that explore what-ifs and historic references (i.e. French Cheese vs Natto, East meets West, Da Vinci building the Suez Canal)
Bad:
- Uncensor patch costs additional money
- No dynamic scaling (i.e. there is a recommended country order to go thru)
Rating:
4/5 Dial Soap Bars
Tips:
- Use Marco Polo to farm money
- Save farming till later in game when 4 action points are unlocked
- Ancient heroes unlocked later are all pretty strong (Takeru is kind of meme, but you can use her)

It's a turn based muoso version of risk where historical figures are anime women and has 18+ content via a patch on the developer website. It's more linear than I expected (less strategy in what to take over and when) so I was a bit disappointed. If it had Dynasty Warriors Empires's systems of doing alliances, appeasing your population, training soldiers and conquesting in battle I would have enjoyed it more. I guess that's more work obviously but Its really close to greatness and its disappointing. Still fun and unique art and presentation.

Is much better than the original game, better balanced and difficulty can b selected from start and u dont have to win the game in order to upgrade it. Its quite difficult actually on very hard, I like it. I have so far over 50 Hours and I am at half the progress or less I think.

its a nice and fun turn based tactical game, its decently easy which is nice, because i can see this kinda gameplay being really unfun if you end up meeting too hard battle, as even it being ez you units can still get one tapped sometimes
and the did a pretty good job on making all character trust event nice and get to know their character, they really not a character i found to dislike esp with their wide based personalities (even the scary ones XD)
overall i would recommend it at full price, and highly recommend it at a discount, its also quite nice to play with a stream or something to the side while doing combat
9/10 for me

I may not care about the story or the P in V action, but I do like the gameplay.
Edit: Now that I beat the game, good grief, 2/3's of playtime were dedicated to the scenes. I still do like the gameplay though.

The mix of gameplay and story is surprisingly well done. The story is wholesome and lighthearted, the gameplay is pretty fun, and the character interactions are probably the best part of this game. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

The VAs who played the American Characters killed it.
I don't understand a word of Japanese but I don't need to when in every sentence there is a "Fack u" or "Oh Mai Godo~!"
10/10 I feel my culture properly represented
