Really liked the quests and the overall tone.
Top lesson learned after some 10 hours in the game - you got to hustle if you want to survive. The world does not revolve around you.
Failed to acquire decent gear? You get smacked. Did not make friends? You get smacked. Want to cross some big boys? You get smacked hard.
Playing gallant knight will get you poor. Playing total scum will get you much hate. You wanna live a little - you gotta cheat a little... and compromise a LOT.
10 real lives out of 10.

Not bad at all. This game manages to give that special feel, that you've barely survived some sh*t. Two reasons here:
1. Quests with stat checks. You can fail and still get satisfying (sort of) result. So you don't have to savescum and break the flow.
2. Fights. Stamina/fatigue management makes fights tactical and a bit exhausting (in a good way). RNG makes' em unforgiving. Sometimes it hurts, but you need that pain.

(my game time is misleading because i mostly play offline, so it didnt register my time spent)
I like it, if there is any real problem is that it feels quite short, when you finaly think you have your char on its way to be very powerlful it suddently ends, and it ends on a cliffhanger..
i know its not on beta but here is hoping a lot more is added to it. but what it has, definatly worth its price tag if you enjoy building a character, has a time limit on it tho (although the time limit constraint is annoying but its more lenient on easy mode)

Okay, so first of all I thought this was a mildly annoying throw away visual novel. But you only need to stop dying to realise it's actually really good. Sure the English translation is janky in places..particularly calling the prominent character the Earl "Earl" and some light grammatical errors. But hey I can't speak or write a word of Russian so who am I to complain about such trifles.
Put 3-4 hours at least into easy mode to know what you are doing before skipping "normal" altogether and going onto HWR (the intended) mode. It can feel a little like the original Witcher at times with the 'real' goal being to bang every female in the game. But it's also a surprisingly long game with tons of replay value and as such represents incredible value for money...just need to be patient enough to not fall off the learning curve first.

You are no hero, you don't have girlfriend and you prolly wont get any. You are lamb in medieval war ready to slaughter. I like it.
Let's talk about it. Mostly as i mentioned you are just lowly peasant in england war army. If you get ahead of yourself you die... you take to many quests you die... you go scavange for loot, you die to bandits. How do you survive then? Keep your head low and train <hard> and never pick up fights with more than one enemy unless you are chad... but you are not. You may cheat a bit trading system though, and events with skill check passes.
Remember time is limited so whatever you do, at some point they will get your lazy arsche onto bettlefield and you better be ready then, each stage is more difficult than before. Item system is rather indeepth combat is surprisingly addicting but get's repetitive at some point - overall it works together in a good way with visuals. Dating sim here is a challenge as well girls don't look at lowly militarian with kind eye. You may lie to them but that doesn't always work.
So you thought you could get laid in medieval ages easily? Hah. nope.

I remember playing a very similar game to this about a roman legionnaire, but this game is much better and better balanced (i.e., I don't die nearly as often and can pursue the story line). I am scum saving, but kind of have to as I figure out various strategies, quests, etc. On sale, this game is a steal and I think it is worth full price. I wish there were a few more inventory slots, and more time in camp, as it is very difficult to arm and armor yourself and do much of anything else (i.e., craft, alchemy, quests, train, etc.). Go for TH Ax, or ax and shield not TH sword, or sword and shield, as you can split shields easier with an Ax (I think). Though in later game you get a great 2H sword as part of a quest, so you could go that route. I haven't tried polearms or crossbows much. Always take at least one medicine, waterskin, antidote in your pouch, and 2 of each is better to use between fights in a battle.
UPDATE: The Dev is very responsive and attentive and is in the process of making Easy a little easier by adding some more gold to Easy mode, address some issues with too small inventory or difficulty in swapping items in camp, addressing not enough time in camp by adding some more time for Easy mode, and reducing prevalency and/or potency of poison usage. Hopefully this will reduce the necessity of scum saving in the final Act. Great game and attentive Dev.

TL;DR - The game seems super RNG heavy at first, but knowing which stats affect this and learning the combat systems means that RNG isn't too brutal, if you play smart. It's a fun game with a neat story, only downside is that it is a bit short. Solid 8-9/10 for me
The main complains of the reviews seem to be how RNG heavy this game is and that it gets frustrating. Understandably, it is at first. My first playthrough had me save scumming quite a few times. My 2nd playthrough? Not once and I completed every fight that I could do. The tactic? Max out your agility, coordination, and your weapon of choice.
At the first chapter, you can get your agility and coordination to level 7 before the first big fight. The fight will be a cake walk, just make sure you recover and respite appropriately. In the second chapter, it's possible to get your agility to 20 and your coordination to the 13s. Once your agility is to 20, fights are laughably easy since enemies can never touch you.
And... that's it. Leveling up your mastery of swords/axes/spears will make you do more damage, to the point where you're 1 hitting literally everyone (even those guys with 60+ hp and full of armor). The game isn't brutal once you learn which stats matters. A bit of a balancing issue on the dev's part, but I still enjoyed my first play through where I was discovering all this.
