A coffee-break game that satisfies that casual boss killing rush.
The goal of the game is to defeat five bosses. The only bits of story are short comments made by bosses that don’t really paint any kind of picture of the game’s world.
In any event, there isn't much to see. The entire game consists of five arenas and five hallways connecting them, in addition to the starting prison cell. The only other thing of note are the save points where you can switch up your skull before each arena.
You can choose among five skulls with different firing mode. Some drop mines, some fire faster but weaker bullets, etc. To be completely honest, the basic skull is the best and can handle anything. A generous dodge move is also quite effective.
The core idea is around gathering mana that appears all around the arena. Even though these dots vanish after a short period of time, you never run out because new ones show up right away. Mana may be used for both healing and firing a shot.
Bosses use the bullet hell mechanic, which requires you to dodge many projectiles at once. Fortunately, the attack patterns are basic and won’t cause you a lot of trouble. As usual, the bosses gain an upgrade once you do enough damage. It's just more and faster bullets, nothing extraordinary.
The game is very easy. You can simply stand on one side of the screen, collect mana and fire at the boss. Half an hour is all you need to reach the end.
