This game was fantastic it's pretty easy since the game is nice enough to let you swap your additional characters in if someone dies, but the art style the little character interactions and the abilities of the characters were all a ton of fun definitely recommend! It's a blast!

I completed the free demo and this game. This game was fantastic. So many different combinations can be done. You will not win on the first few runs since it is a rouge lite and need meta progression. If that isn't your thing then this isn't your game. You can turn meta progression on or off to adjust the difficulty which makes it great. The dev is great as responding to things in the discussion as well with bug fixes and updates.

I bought Sakura And The Airyvixen on launch day and was instantly hooked! I've been playing it whenever I've had a spare moment over the last two days.
It was my first roguelite, so I was learning about the genre, as well as this game specifically, as I played.
I like the combination of strategy mixed with chance when deciding how to progress through a map. You know more or less what you're getting when you choose 'battle' or 'camp' or 'store', but an 'event' is unpredictable. There is more gameplay than story in this game, but the dialogue that does appear is entertaining and I love getting to meet more characters, so often I can't resist the events!
The characters have super-cute designs and animations and personalities. That applies to the enemies as well as the heroes - everyone is adorable! There are 22 rice-hime to collect and a whole host of other bright and fun characters to encounter. I'm impressed by their variety too, such as the zombie girl, the maid girl and the samurai girl .

Edit after having played more:
I have to admit, the overall story could be better. I was intrigued by why the three protagonists had been transported to this other world, and by Shrimpexia's motivations, and by the Airyvixen's role and her apparent authority over Shrimpexia. I was intrigued by the fact that Sakura and Shrimpexia have the same character design - how was that never acknowledged?! Sadly, none of these things were properly explained. This game definitely would have benefitted from the story being developed.

Learning the basics of fights is easy, but deciding which characters to have in the team and which of their skills to use at which moment is challenging. I enjoyed feeling like I earned my victories by using my brain. But, this was my first roguelite, so I can't comment on how difficult or easy more experienced players would find it.
I think newcomers and fans of the genre would have a good time playing this, and I would recommend Sakura And The Airyvixen for its joyful art and charismatic cast <3

Very cute, fun experience, and a good Rougelite for beginners or casual players who want to enjoy the atmosphere. Battles are easy to understand, characters are well drawn with fun interactions, and while the game may be a bit difficult at first it definitely eases up as you unlock more talents (permanent upgrades) to your file. Will take you a bit to unlock all Rice-Hime (playable party members) and get all the endings.

Finished and got all achievements. Great Game, the mechanics are well done, easy to understand and fun
Every character (It's called Rice-Hime I think) are all great with their own playstyle so you can try to find which Rice-Hime is synergy with which Rice-Hime, and their pixel animation are great. I love to see sloth attack animation by snoring and bride animation by throwing bouquet to enemy
Personally, the bad thing about this game is difficulty, sure it's hard at first or second time but after you buy a little permanent upgrade or even fully buy permanent upgrade will make every run too easy but you can reset all upgrade to make every run hard again
But still this game is great and I recommend it. Wish the dev make hard difficulty or something
