Romance options:
Micah Everett
A perfectionist with an eloquent way of speaking, and a quiet voice. Insecure from a previous relationship which causes him to appear distant at first. Tries to throw himself into work as much as possible, and as the community’s lead doctor no one tries to stop him
Jude Myers
You can usually find him at the bar with Sam, the closest thing to family he has left. Or in the greenhouse tending to the plants with loud grunge music from the 1990s shaking the walls. If you see him with any tech, you should probably assume it’s contraband and say nothing
Gloria Miller
The sweet Community Affairs Supervisor who wants to keep everyone’s spirits up in these dark times. Born in Camden she isn’t fully aware of the harsh realities of the surface. Bored of living underground she wants to either shake things up or escape.
Eva Turner
An overly friendly security officer full of charm, and a sad smile. She’ll tackle criminals all day, and then sweep you into her arms and sing karaoke with you all night. Or she’ll challenge you to a race, then feel bad that she didn’t let you win.

I've only done one playthrough so maybe I'll be proven wrong about this, but I'm a little disappointed. Not with the game itself, the game is lovely, but there's a vital choice that I feel robbed of as a player. I made the choice near the beginning of the game that I thought closing the doors during the storm was the wrong call, locking vulnerable people out in dangerous conditions. But that doesn't mean I wanted to side with the rebels, ESPECIALLY after finding out they teamed up with the Sandmen - especially considering what you learn about the Sandmen later in the game. I did not want to betray my love interest, or my mother, or Sam, by siding with the people that had hurt them and so many others. I didn't think it was right to shut children and elderly and normal citizens out in the storm, but that doesn't mean I think the rebels were right either.
Personally, I think it's a lovely game with wonderful characters, but not being able to make such vital late-game choices really soured it for me. It just made me feel icky and unimmersed. It didn't feel like I was the one playing it anymore, and it just grated on any previous enjoyment I'd felt... and there was a lot of enjoyment before that point.
Note: This isn't saying not to get the game. Definitely get it, play it, you'll probably like it. But I just wanted to bring to the devs attention that their wonderfully written story had been tainted for me. It really is great otherwise and I can tell you all worked hard on it. Maybe you'll change it or maybe not, maybe I'll feel differently after a few more play-throughs (yes, I'll keep playing, just to see if this was a fluke in how I played this particular route.)
This was probably rambly. Either way, I look forward to any games you make in the future especially if they're similar to this one.

I love the game, but it depends on what you look for in a visual novel. If your main interest is unlocking unique art scenes for special endings and first kisses and such, then unfortunately you'll be disappointed. When you complete a playthrough, you're greeted by a black screen with a very simple "The end".
However, the writing is solid and compelling, the character designs are fantastic, and I would die for Gloria or Eva. If you're like me, and you're in it for the story rather than the art, then As We Know It is absolutely worth the price!

I absolutely love the diversity in this game! Not only are their two female and two male love interests, but the entire cast of characters are made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.
The friendship options were a nice addition to the romance plots, and I really liked that you have to pursue friendships in order to achieve the best outcomes in some routes.
I will admit that life simulators can be a bit intense, thankfully the skip button actually skips through previously read text across ALL routes.

I saw this tagged as "sci-fi" but I don't know if it should be categorized as that. It's a post-apocalyptic story, but the science/technology in it isn't fictional at all. Anyway, it's got Mad Max: Fury Road vibes, but takes place within a setting similar to that District 13 underground city from The Hunger Games. The implication is that climate change eventually impacted the livelihood of humankind, and for some, the answer was to move into underground city shelters.
Good Stuff
Racial diversity. More than half of all the characters are not white.
Queer representation. Two male romanceable characters (one of which used to be in love with a guy), two female romanceable characters.
Thicc representation. (Though, it would've been better if it was more than one, aka tokenism.)
Interesting, well-written story and characters.
Causes players to utilize critical thinking skills when considering moral and ethical dilemmas.
Obviously, climate change awareness.
Several endings to reveal the consequences of choices.
Complaints
While the other three romanceable characters were likable and elicited romantic feelings, I found Gloria to be rather insufferable, which disappointed me greatly because aesthetically speaking, I liked her best. In the context of the story, she's just so privileged that she doesn't understand how good she has it. Paralleled to real life, I can't stand spoiled/entitled people like that.
No CGs. But I get it, art costs money. I'm just fond of pretty pictures of romanceable characters.
Several playthroughs to get all the endings can be a bit tedious, but that's what skip mode is for.
Typos.
I definitely recommend it to visual novel fans. Those other three romanceable characters are totally worth it!

First off, I should say that this is one of those games where you spend a lot of time doing repetitive activities and the player just chooses which repetitive activities to do. I call them "scheduling games". I don't know if there is an official name. I personally find this kind of game boring, and since the previous game I played by this developer was the same, I should stop buying them. That having been said, it wasn't a bad game. The characters and scenario were interesting. I enjoyed playing through it. However, I doubt I'll play it more than once or twice more.

I love the concept of an alternative future-- it's a wasteland and you're living underground.
This is one of the longer English Original Language Visual Novels that I have played--as of writing this, I've only achieved two endings. I enjoyed the rock tracks (although, it'd be nice to have more songs), the character design and the attention to facial detail was spot on. As characters become more stressed, their expressions reflect that. I had never read a visual novel like that--and I read a lot of them. Varied character design. Although few, the backgrounds were well done. No voice acting in this VN, but there is so much to read-- this is also a stat-based VN by days. You'll have a routine when you play this. There are also not only stress and love stats but friendship stats as well. I loved the dynamic between the mother and the MC.
I am looking forwards to more games by Jaime Scribbles.

I played Pinewood Island first and had high expectations for this one! I bought it during a sale since I couldn't bring myself to buy it at full price!
Long story, short? I really enjoyed this game! Customization of your character was simple but I felt it added to the immersion of the game! The plot is phenomenal and I wanted to know more and more about the world we're in! As of writing this i've gotten 2 out of 30 endings; 30 endings?! That's insane but it shows how much thought went into this!
Was there anything I didn't like? Yes. At times the game did feel like it dragged a bit. That may have been because I was focused on only 3 characters ( Jude, Sam and my mom) but still. Also there's so unlockable romantic pictures or even unlockable ending pictures. I was expecting something, even if it was just 1 unlockable on a 'true' ending or something but the screen just goes to black. So that was really disappointing.
I would recommend the demo first just to test it out but overall, this game is really fun and is worth checking out.
