Kickback Slug: Cosmic Courier
Slugs are SLOW. But not this slug. Slippy is a slug in space, and he has learnt to fly using the kickback of his guns and thrusters! Shoot in one direction, fly in another. But oh, if it was that fun, Slippy has increasingly difficult obstacles in the way – slugs are not happy when they encounter spikes in space…
Kickback Slug: Cosmic Courier is an avoidance-based physics game where you must exploit the kickback of your arsenal to navigate a series of increasingly difficult obstacles.
Slippy and Mr McFly are committed to their job. As delivery drivers for the largest intergalactic trader of goods, they are held to high standards. However, their usual daily shift, and the chance of being named employees of the month, suffers a major blow when a mechanical failure causes their ship to crash land on a planet seemingly floating through space! Even worse, they have lost all of the parcels that now lay scattered across the planet’s surface…
Unbeknownst to all the aliens in the nearby galaxy, the fate of their expected next-day deliveries lie within the tentacles of Slippy and McFly. Can you guide them across the planet and recover all of the lost parcels along the way?
- Physics-based gameplay, requiring the use of weapon kickback to move.
- Master the three main weapon types to quickly, and successfully, navigate the levels.
- Fifty playable levels spanning five zones, such as a dense jungle, icy peak, long-forgotten mines, boiling lava pools, and even space itself!
- Six unlockable bonus levels that put your kickback abilities to the ultimate test!
- Defeat bosses that guard access to new areas.
- Test your kickback skills by retrieving lost parcels hidden within every level.
- Use the gallery screen to view your recovered parcels!

Kickback Slug is one of those games that you can have fun with for hours. The physics based navigation of the character makes every level feel unique, yet challenging at the same time. It has a great 2D art style with cute animations, great sound effects & a set of great environments that you can get lost in.
My personal highlight was Mecha Mole, since you also need to use a bit of logic to that fight.
There are a decent amount of levels to work through as well, along with certain criteria to complete if you want the additional challenge. Things like finishing under a certain amount of time. Things like this really help wit the replayability if you like being a completionist.
Overall, I think it is a worthwhile purchase & a solid game for anyone who is into physics based shooters with a good amount of bosses.

I'm not a big gamer but I really enjoyed the gameplay on this one, I loved that I could change the controls and play on my laptop. It's not so difficult that I couldn't pick it up but also not too easy, meaning I could spend a good amount of time learning to play. The graphics are superb and the layout of the stages is amazing.

Really fun, goofy, and charming physics platformer about a little slug trying his best to deliver his lost parcels. The physics-based gameplay, while being a fun way to move around, also adds a nice challenge to the levels. Furthermore, the option to enable a speedrun timer adds even more challenge and replayability. I personally enjoy starting the timer and going as fast as I can! There are also a lot of collectables to find, a variety of nicely made environments to explore, and bosses too!

What a solid & fun gameplay loop, very addicting and twitchy, excited to see what this team comes up with next!

Really cute game, easy to pick up but it's just the right amount of challenging as well

Fun new 2d platformer that I enjoyed but your kids will love. The movement based mechanics are great (I'm a sucker for a jetpack) and I love the time challenges and boss fights. Super polished!
