Wayward Rose is an indie thriller, created by a team of student developers. Step into the shoes of Rose, a young girl lost in the dark and ominous woods. Armed with only her wits and determination, she must navigate through treacherous terrain and evade the wolves and phantoms that haunt her every move. Will she be able to find her way out and escape the clutches of the unknown?

Played the game and died regularly. Had this been an element in one of the later Fallout games I would have persevered. However getting from one end of a murky forest to another is all there is to this game and it was not enough to keep me playing.
The game downloaded, installed and played flawlessly and I had no problems when I opened or closed the map
So it isn't a bad game at all, it's just not for me.

I will recommend this game, but only insofar as it seems to be a proof of concept and not a fully fleshed out game. I will elaborate below, but first, likes and dislikes
Likes:
- Interesting scenery. I like the ambiance of the world, and the simple design.
- Simple controls, very much appreciated
- movement and third person view control felt comfortable, natural, and smooth
Dislikes:
- No HUD. I would have appreciated being able to tell how much sprint I lost/regained
- Sound design is quite poor. The breathing is far too strong, and is present at all times.
- Static and movement animations, while not terrible, do not seemingly work with the movement speed, or the atmosphere the environment is trying to evoke. Another thing, when hiding, the character just disappears, with nothing to indicate what causes the (what I assume to be) invisibility.
- Compass and map aren't the most helpful. Again, a HUD map that adjusts with orientation might be better
- Some bugs, such as adjusting third person view not working for the first few initial seconds after closing map, and the character model seemingly spas out when using the map
Overall, I would love to see this turned into a full game. The idea of playing a masked character that can turn invisible to hide from wolves seems really cool! I would love for there to be some lore, and perhaps a more fuller world. The way the game is, it makes me think this is just a proof of concept, rather than any completed. Also, when the character has sprinted, I can hear discord notifications within the out-of-breath audio that is played.
