In "Rock 'N' Roll Defense" we defend a rock band from supporters of other subcultures who want to storm the stage. With the help of 8 types of loudspeakers, which we distribute at strategic points in front of the stage, we keep off poppers, ravers and country fans in a total of 40 levels until we finally have to assert ourselves against the demonic spawn of hell.
You don't need much tactical skill in this game, as you have all kinds of loudspeakers from the start of the game and the opponents all have the same mechanics. So "Rock 'N' Roll Defense" definitely doesn't reinvent the tower defense genre, but it still offers a lot of fun. The rock soundtrack, which includes a total of 10 tracks, plays a big part in this and is fortunately offered as free DLC. The cartoonish graphics and character design of the opponents also bring a certain charm.

I have to admit, this game was my first tower defense game and I only bought it because of the music and also because it was on sale. The idea itself is great and if you're able to overlook a few flaws, you're into rock and metal or need a break from blatant 3D games, then give it a try.
Feedback for the developers; if you're working on an update or Rock 'N' Roll Defense 2...
*At first it feels a little challenging, but then it gets easier and easier and almost boringly easy.
*Levels with optional difficulties and more waves would be a great addition to a replay value.
*More songs for the variety aspect would be great as well. And more of the humor, which is there but comes up way too short.
*The characters and drawings are cool and even tho and it's a matter of taste, the logo for the game, ...how can I put this nicely? Was almost the reason not to buy the game.
*The DJ is half cringe half kinda cool, please make up your mind. If we're going to fend off annoying DJ types, than they should look like David Guetta goofs, not really DJing at all and just putting on a show.

Finally, a game that lets me defend the one thing I love more than my personal space: loud, face-melting rock!
To be fair, it's far from perfect:
- It's fairly simple
- The graphics aren’t the best (but a cool retro style anyway)
- Some gameplay flaws (try placing a tower next to the stage without accidentally unleashing your special)
- Replayability is low... except for the music!
BUT(T)!
It’s still a really cool game:
- The music rocks! (Though there aren’t enough tracks for a solid rotation)
- The concept is awesome: a tower defense game to save Rock music!
- Your weapons are your amps going to 11, how cool is that ?!
- Perfect for quick gaming sessions
- Lots of achievements for all you achievement hunters
- Less than 1€ game (grab it during a sale!)
In the end, it’s a solid 6/10 for me. Would shred and defend again!

small but interesting game, i really liked it. it keeps you intrigued, at lest it keeps me, but in my opinion its satisfying to find the right placement of speakers and watch them not get past, it gets even better knowing you have an objective, its so simple but you cant stop playing it. . oh and the greed you feel after you got everything upgraded and you still get money :> , the game has cool songs in the background too, i might be onto nothing but thats how i feel.

It's a good game, great value with the price and all. Basic Defense game, you place loud speaker that send sound wave towards the ennemy, you can upgrade them to get better dmg/frequency.. really simple. The soundtrack used in the game carries it to another level fr.

I bought the game in a package for €0.49 and didn't expect much. It is an entertaining and simple tower defence game. There is not much variety in the 40 levels, but for achievement hunters this shouldn't be a big thing. It takes about 4-5 hours to get 100%.
