When this game first launched, I really wanted it. I was hyped from the trailers, gameplay previews, everything. But then came the PSN region lock and as someone outside the supported countries, I couldn't buy it. That was frustrating. I waited, hoping for a fix.
And then out of nowhere, Steam dropped the bomb: the region lock was lifted. The second I saw the announcement, I bought it full price, no hesitation. and let me tell you WORTH. EVERY. PENNY.
This game is pure chaos. Explosions, friendly fire, bugs, bots, orbital strikes, and yelling at your squadmates to "Get to the extraction!" It’s a PTSD simulator in the best possible way. Every mission feels like a desperate fight for survival but when you're playing with friends, it turns into some of the most fun and ridiculous co op gameplay out there.
If you're into intense action, teamwork (and betrayal), and endless bugs and bots trying to kill you, this is it.
10/10 would die to friendly fire again.

I just spent forty minutes accidentally napalming my own teammates, getting flattened by my own supply drop, and being used as a projectile by a giant bug—and I’ve never felt more patriotic in my entire life.
Helldivers 2 is the only game where you can watch your best friend get vaporized by a 500kg bomb you called in and think, "That’s the smell of Managed Democracy." The gameplay is a beautiful, chaotic mess of lasers, explosions, and frantic shouting as you realize you're drastically outnumbered by things with too many legs or too many chainsaws.
The best part? The game doesn't just want you to win; it wants you to win for Super Earth. Every time you drop into a hellscape, you feel like the protagonist of a high-budget action movie right up until the moment you trip over a rock and blow yourself up with your own grenade. It’s the perfect blend of high-stakes tension and slapstick comedy.
Is the friendly fire frequent? Yes. Is the survival rate questionable? Absolutely. But a small price to pay for the glory of liberty. If you enjoy spreading freedom at 3,000 rounds per minute and don't mind the occasional "tactical accidental liquidation" of your squad, this is the best co-op experience on Steam.
