holly hell. motion sickness the game but worth the install. ill probably open it every now and then to give it a shot but mt main criticism is the controls are hard to grab, other than that its a pretty good experience.

it's actually really good and a great way to know if you get motion sick from vr.
It feels satisfying doing barrel rolls and loops
the only complaints i have are that the throttle is a bit too powerful when you lift off and the stearing stick is a bit delayed.
I'm on a Rift S

Joy Flight is a simple yet refined game that just calms all the nerves. I enjoy the game for how simple it is to just hop in and play. Its great for a cartoony flight simulator if you enjoy great scenery and simple graphics. The game has you flying to hit balloons in order to gain a high score for the leader board. Controls can take a second to get used to but have a bit of customization. Overall its a great game that is FREE!

Joy Flight is a free to play, open world arcade flight sim. The game features a fully interactive cockpit which you control to fly the plane. The control system is simple to learn and easy to use. You do not need to be a flight sim pro to play this game.
You play the game in a large open world divided into 29 islands you need to unlock, the world even has a changing weather system where you will fly in sunshine to thunderstorms. Your goal is to fly through targets and collect points and land on the runways. I have not successfully landed on a runway, but I think its how you unlock the island, and drop off the passenger that is in the plane with you.
Now I am not very good at flight sim and usually stay away from them. This one felt great though. It is not a hardcore flight sim and is made for the casual flight sim player like me. I had a blast playing this game, even though I ended every flight with a crash. It was still some of the most fun I have had in a VR flight game, and got the most air time. I even made the leaderboards and that is big for a VR pilot with my skills.
Over all I had a great time inside this game. The graphics are simple but very nice, with a sound track to match. There is no timers ticking or people shooting at you. Its just you and the open sky. This is a fantastic free flight sim that anyone can jump in and enjoy themselves. You do not need to be a flight sim pro to enjoy this game.

Experienced on the Meta Quest 2

It's free to play, so my expectations were low and this game met my low expectations. It's a simple, arcade flight. I think the best description is that it's a poor man's Ultrawings. It seems this dev was heavily inspired by Ultrawings. Ultrawings is definitely better than this effort so you may want to buy that game on sale.
However, if you want a free flying experience, I would say Acro FS is better. Still, this isn't bad either if you want a very simple, relaxing, arcade flying experience with low poly visuals. There is paid DLC, which is just 2 extra planes for .99 cents each. I do recommend the planes as they are better to fly than the free one. However, there is no height adjustment and at least on the Meta Quest 2 using link cable, I was too low on the floor of the DLC planes.
There's a couple of activities to do in this game. You can fly through the rings. You can crash into the hot air balloons. You can unlock new landing strips. It's a small map with 29 mini islands on it. I had fun for an hour. I guess that's all you can expect with a free to play title.
I was getting steady 90 fps on my RTX 3080. Game is running on the Unity Engine. You do have full locomotion and snap turning in the start menu area, but it's a very small area. Flight controls are very basic. You touch the start button, push up on the throttle, and then just operate with the flight stick. Each of the 3 planes behave differently. Interestingly enough, the free plane controls the worst.
Rate 6/10.

Joy Flight is a free to play VR arcade flying game. It worked on my HTC Vive, Index and Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok.
CONS: Was difficult to fly.
Warning: Will cause motion sickness.
Maybe try this free VR arcade flying game.
