you have 100 days to train in this future world. level up your stats and make friends along the way. overall, my first playthrough was pretty fun though it would be tough to recommend this to someone with less patience (either due to gameplay speed or translation quality). I think my run was about 1.5 hours.
what went well:
* multiple intertwined systems. did you know there is a mini deck builder in here? neither did I. yes, it is buggy and weird and not explained at all. need sp? do the challenges. need more damage? level up. need skill points? optimize per day tasks. oh but you only have 100 days... ;)
* not completely unreasonable price. especially for a genre that receives too few games per year.
what could change:
* better translations. its a bit funny as the translations leave more to the imagination which is a plus for a cute game like this.
* faster combat system. even an auto battler would be ok. its a bit tiresome but the idea is still pretty cool. when I saw the spiral levels I nearly quit the game.
* better navigation with arrow keys. I think this was implemented in the combat system (hover is broken but the selection does work correctly). I don't think the arrow key navigation works on the other various screens. I think choosing the tasks per day should not require scrolling, maybe showing a grid with all of the tasks and having the non-unlocked ones greyed out.
* notification dot on conversation progress. it only exists on the new task screen but it should be present when you can advance the conversation level.
* possibly rework max level system. I would prefer the stats ALWAYS go up and not be limited by upgrades. then move the conversation system to 200/300/400/500 per task and have conversations per milestone.
* UI changes: 1) maybe make each gift have a specific sprite? I assume there is gift affinity though I was just dumping everything to max the conversations by the end of 100 day mark. 2) maybe make parts of the phone UI contained within the phone boundary. this makes it a tiny bit more immersive. 3) maybe change a few of the menu sprites. like a bar chart for upgrades or shopping cart for the store?
