About the GameThis is your first night shift as a zookeeper. You find out that some animals are infected and turning into mutants. Save them and save yourself. Unravel the mystery of the zoo. Choose wisely. Your choices will determine your ending.
YOU ARE A ZOOKEEPER:
Interact with the animals, take care of them, choose and prepare a meal for them, restock and clean up after them in the enclosure.
SAVE THE ANIMALS:
Something is wrong with the animals. But you can save them. You can discover the cause of the infection, create a vaccine and cure them.
CHOICES MATTER:
Which animals will you save? Will you survive? There are many endings depending on the choices you make.

This game is the definition of a mixed bag. The trailers did this game a terrible disservice by advertising a product that didn't exist. Game is admittedly underwhelming on subsequent playthroughs as the gameplay loop becomes routine. I am primarily leaving a positive review due to the frankly absurd efforts the devs are making to improve the game with daily patches and updates.

Devs kept their promise and constantly keep improving on the game, bringing new content and polishing existing stuff.
Great work.

After some very much needed TLC the game Zoochosis is finally shaping up to become quite a unique little gem of a game.
The developers have been steadily improving the game ever since release: most of the bugs are now fixed, new game+ mode makes achievement hunting and collecting different endings much less tedious (it skips the whole tutorial section), and encounters randomization makes every run feel unique when it comes to available animals and jumpscares.
The main gameplay loop of figuring out the disease and then treating the animals is very satisfying so even without any horror elements Zoochosis is quite an immersive and enjoyable experience.
I'd suggest giving the game a try, especially during a sale.

I really like this game. A lot of people are complaining about bugs and not being able to complete the game, etc. I bought this game on release date simply because the trailer looked cool and I was hyped up for it. After my first few hours in, I managed to get a good ending. I don't recall facing any bugs besides not being able to extract blood efficiently on the release date, but this was patched the following day when I updated the game. Maybe some people went in expecting so much more, and really spoiled their expectations. They released a fully functioning game with little bugs. Sure, the story may not be excellent, and may be a little cliched, but I like it. It's a horror game which gives you enough room to explore without hand-holding like most modern games do. The artwork is nice, and the game doesn't depend on cheap jump scares. There is an eerie feeling of being followed or watched in areas where the animals don't usually go. Not a 10/10 game, but certainly doesn't deserve the hate it's getting. I'd reccommend the game.

I truly enjoyed this game. My one complaint involves the subtitles, and lack of accessibility for deaf/hoh players. The subtitles were small, without the ability to change them at all, and they did not allow for other sounds. I had to rely on chat to tell me some sounds were taking place. Otherwise? I loved the game. I can't wait to play some more!

This game is buggy and messy. Sometimes an animal refuses to poop. I'm not sure why chemicals are things you collect around the environment. Still not really sure why there's a UV light.
I'm not really sure if there's much of a puzzle here. I enjoy figuring out the right concoctions to cure animals but the most overt challenge is messing around with the game's mechanics on repeat playthroughs to kinda suss out the repeating cycle of checking habitats.
That said something about this game endears me to it. I am curious about certain aspects of this game that go almost entirely unexplained. Can't really explain it. It's like a parasite. . .

Though this game is buggy, it is definitely one of the most unique horror games I have ever played. It balances the squicky/giving the woogies vibes with actual terror without being a painfully difficult game. Nor is it repetitive despite committing to the same tasks on all the animals. It also has multiple endings where what you do matters- something I am thrilled to see in a horror game since most of the time they like to force you into a specific route!
Bear (ha, pun) in mind that they are still working on this game and fixing the bugs as they happen. If you're like me and hate the fact you can't bug report unless you're in a discord server, fear not! They have a bug reporter built into the game. Just pause at any time, fill out the bug report option in your pause menu, and go back to playing! Honestly it's such a simple addition for a game but the fact I don't have to go out of the game to bug report is so gd handy.
The game is so fun, super replayable, and I love that after helping my animals that I can then PET! THAT! DAWG!
